Anything with the beeper is off. The rest of the dash is fully functional. I believe I have more than 7 gallon left when the gauge read empty. I usually pay for the gas so when others are riding on my dime I plug it back in.
And I absolutely love that color! Like one poster mentioned below, I also added a Saddleman's aftermarket seat, taller-wider V Stream windscreen and bar risers. Those three additions made a world of difference in comfort on longer rides/tours. The taller-wider windscreen along with the excellent fairing keeps you dry when you get caught in a rain storm. I only get wet when I stop 😎The FJR is the best bike on the planet! I comically refer to mine as "the one". Remember when we were young and dated a bunch of girls looking for that forever girl? Well, the FJR is that girl 🥰. Enjoy that bike and post more ride vids!
Gorgeous. I had a 07 Maroon one. I see very little difference from it. Mine had adjustable fairing that you could make the bike wider (the parts right in front of your legs), no cruise control, and no "modes". It would occasionally give me some sass by going on one wheel. I experienced the ABS just one time. I did a Bun Burner 1500 ride on it. :) I know it will go more than 150 mph. ;)
@@MrGman129 I have a silver or grey one. Didn't made too many miles, because one year after I bought it I became a father and I don't have too much time now. I bought it with 300km in 2018 and now I have about 27000 km on it. I even mounted a quick-shifter on it, works perfectly :)
I'm not going to say what the price was. Depending on the item I believe the discount price is between 30 and 50% off msrp. My extended warranty is also way cheaper than the dealers. Go work for Yamaha. They have businesses in most all states.
I still have my 04' FJR...Love that machine! 40,000 miles with no issues, just keep up the scheduled maintenance. And mine does run on 87 octane without issue. Congrats!
You will get 4 or 5 times those KMs just keep up the service intervals and she will keep on keeping on mine is an 06 FJR with 165kms on the clock and still going strong
The 1.1 miles is since the fuel gauge went to the reserve setting. Go to the dash settings and move through the displays to see the total miles. I have the 2019 now with 45,000 miles. The modes are T - Touring (Timid). S - Sports (Stupid Fast). You will have an FJR grin.
No. Under the seat is a sticker saying that 91 Ron min. Again, I have no problem with using 93 premium in my 3 personal watercraft, which I use more than my FJR1300.
Hola Yo he tenido varias unidades, por cuestión de mi trabajó. He tecorrido alrededor de 1.50000 km. Hoy estoy jubilado y tengo la mía propia del 2019, una FJR 1300 AS , azul mate. Una yolla de la mecánica.
I purchased a 2013 FJR1300A with 2 miles. My only hold back was the brand new tires that needed a break in period and no dang gase. So I got a tank of gas and tip toed from southern PA to DC and back up to PA. Got out and enjoyed her after a 187 mile first day. I still ride her. Loving life.
Something I don't understand, based on feed back from FJR owners they get about 40 MPG, the bike weighs 650 lbs....a Toyota Camry weighs 3480 lbs and it gets about 25 - 30 MPG....why doesn't the FJR get better MPG?
You'll enjoy your ride time. I have to admit that at first I was worried, now I ride and enjoy it and when I goose it I'm not worried. Thanks for watching my video.
It's not that difficult. I just look around the neighborhood for a hill that I can backup to. Then I can push the motorcycle into the bed of the truck. At this point I can use my two straps. I'll try and do a video in the next few weeks. Thanks for watching.
Wow! So incredible, did not know they are still in production! In Europe they are not available for few years already, and not popular (underrated) too. And it is funny, a lot of small parts are similar to much older models (e.g. fuel tank cap, foot pegs are the same as on mine Yamaha Fazer 8 2014).
It's OK with me that they use some parts for other things. It makes it easier and less expensive if there's used parts available. Thanks for your comment.
He look like he's thinkin....this is just as erie as the tunnel scene in the original Charlie in the chocolate factory....and I can't see willy Wonka so I'm worried.
My ladies dog was a rescue. He obviously had some good training and I wish I knew it. One thing he hates is going out in the rain. My lady is very lucky to have a rescue dog that has never growled at anybody. Thanks for watching.
@@MrGman129 I’ve been dreaming of riding her so long. And I’ve got Gen2 several years ago and after that, I got confidence of my choice that this is the ride of choice, even for the rest of my riding career. Then I was started to think I have to get brand new one just for myself. Nothing wrong with Gen2 but auto clutch and cruise control and electric suspension are very good to have for me.
The old tire was in need of replacement when I bought it. I usually get more miles on the tires than expected. This tire got less than 300 miles because of a nail. I then replaced with what came from the factory. I liked this tires performance better than the latest choice.
Funny video showing that you can not access to +50% of parameters when the level of fuel is low 😂 Decision from the Yamaha engineers teams after a drunk party ? Also, the same day they have decided to switch the flash headlight button with the parameter menu select button, approved by the team working on the 6th gear box which have to be replaced on your byke 💪
I'm not sure why you'd be prissy about 1.1 miles on the motorcycle. I didn't have my reading glasses on when shooting the video. I can attest that to this day the tip and odometer is still equaling the same number.
@@MrGman129 No, you paid and the dealer still made thousands. Sending you out the door with a fuel light is beyond cheap and into F U territory by this dealer. Personally I would pull the axles and driveshaft to inspect for lubrication because obviously this dealer did zero inspection and prep! I have a pair of Gen 2 FJR's currently and it really sounds like this dealer cut corners. Good luck.
@@arthurfoyt6727 register to the video and tell me what dealer I was at. I bought this from Yamaha and paid way below dealer costs. No dealer fees paid at all.
