No hunting on this channel. The focus is on interesting, wholesome, fun or light-hearted videos of wildlife I've seen in or around the creek out back, including deer, hawks, woodchucks, woodpeckers, and coyotes. I would think nature lovers would like this channel. I filmed all of the videos.

Some gusts of winds 20 mins before. Got 2.8 inches in 20 minutes. Then the rain stopped and the sun came out shortly after. Didn’t rain in our location the rest of the day. There was also one rumble of thunder. Heard W Carolina is getting it much worse.
That certainly is odd as you said. Been around for 70 yrs now and that's a new one on me. My first thoughts were some kind of fungus as you know they grow in weird shapes. God Bless. NW ga.
I hadn’t considered fungus. Maybe. There are a lot of mushrooms in these woods with quite a variety of color and shape and size. I think that might be it.

Maybe behind the nearby waterfall.

I hadn’t either. I saw it all happen in real time, and I saw the hummingbird drop down abruptly and fly off, which I thought was unusual. Only when I watched the video back in slow motion could I tell she was shaking her head. I guess there was something in the flower she didn’t care for. Maybe a little bug surprised her, or the nectar was sour. It is interesting how often animals in nature can surprise you.
I can see why you would think that, and it’s not a bad guess, but he or she is wild. I saw her on her mom’s back only about a week before. I think their den floods when it rains so they walk about. As for the sniffing the screen, she probably smelled cat food. You can see in this longer video, after getting enough sniffs her curiosity is satisfied and she goes on her way. I’ll keep them… in the yard. Haha. They are cute, but I think they’ll be happiest there. There is also a big creek out back and I suspect they may make their way back there. Sometimes it sounds like there are thousands of frogs singing at night.
Yes. Now I can see why you might be concerned because it’s not obvious they have a big wild home basically. I think they just happened to be resting on the can when it got moved. I’ll keep an eye out for them next time. 👀

I hadn’t thought about it, but that’s definitely possible. I think Lowe’s sells Craftsman and Home Depot does not, and I like the Craftsman things I have. I’ve got a lot of use out of a little shop vac by them. I do have a couple of Dewalt tools though and I think only Home Depot sells them, but I’m not sure. I like the Dewalt tools but I feel like their instructions could be better. Lowe’s is slightly closer for me, but I like Home Depot a little more. Each place seems to have somethings the other doesn’t, but there’s also quite a few items that are either the same or virtually so. I occasionally also get hard to find bolts, screws or nuts from Ace and I sometimes buy tools or supplies from Amazon.
Those bucket pocket organizers 🪣 are awesome for making many different types of kits-tool kits 🛠️ ⚒️, medical kits, cleaning kits, you your imagination!
I hadn’t thought of that, seems like a good idea. If you have room you, could try wedging it on the floor between the back and front seat, presuming you have a four seater.
