You can drink some really good coffee in Shanghai. Manner does make great drinks for reasonable prices. I agree it’s the best coffee for the price. Definitely a 5 stars. It’s much better than the overrated starcraps!
Glad you liked the subway system of Shanghai. It's one of the best subway system in the world. Before constructing it, the construction company went around the world looking at all the subway systems in major cities and researched them extensively about the pros and cons of every single of them and then modelled Shanghai's subway system after the best ones that they found and then further tailored it to the population clusters and road structures in Shanghai so what you end up having is a subway system that's fast, efficient and has extremely high ridership. You can hardly find a subway line that's idle with empty subway cars. And it's far-reaching into the farthest corner of Shanghai, spanning over both sides of the Huangpu River. Once you get on the subway, you can go anywhere in Shanghai. The subway is like the superhighway for pedestrians. And plus it's clean, absent of graffiti's, brightly lit and safe. And it exhibits artworks and exhibitions from time to time so it becomes a revolving museum it's just beautiful. The only thing that I find if they can improve a bit is the installation of more elevators for the mobility-challenged and the elderly. When my elderly mother goes to Shanghai, she cannot take the metro at all because there are no elevators and those long flights of stairs are a challenge for her especially during a rainstorm when the stairs can get very slippery. And second the transfer between different lines in particular from Line 1 to Line 2 are way too long. You find yourself having to walk almost 15 minutes with all the waits and the crowds to transfer from one line to another. That is especially daunting for senior citizens. Why couldn't they build the connecting points of the two lines closer together? In the subways of major cities in North America, the platform of another line is right across or at most, on the next level right above or below the first line so to transfer to another line, you just need to walk right across or at most walk one flight of stairs and you are right there.
Francie. Did you check with the exchange directly on the rate? Last checked with multiple exchange staff back in February 2024 and they said theres no exchange me anywhere in the airport. (I may note I checked when leaving, so maybe changing to Baht costs a fee but no fee from Baht to whichever country you're returning to?)

I remember it was called Rama 9, right? I also strolled around and remembered a small river that I really like Thailand. This winter, I will take my parents to Chiang Mai again. like you video.
Yes, that G shape building is called "G Tower" and it's located in Rama9. The best timing to visit Chiang Mai is in winter time, you will like it there I promise!

I highly recommend getting the Grab app with Net access before arrival in Bangkok - fare is agreed upfront (no scam) and it comes with a translator. For those who are transiting at Suvarnabhumi, there's a food court at ground level past the last gate 10 (iirc). You simply buy a charge card for an amount and buy from the various stores, then get a refund for remaining balance.
