I was always creeped out as a kid when I rode by this place. for one reason only.. the "blood-like splatter" you see at about 7:11 mins into video. look even more like one now!!! thanks for sharing

What railroad used the old bridge? When was it built and abandoned?

The NC&St.L railroad used the old bridge. It was built in the 1840's and abandoned in 1944 after the new bridge was built on the other side of US 41.
