Why 3/8 vs 5/8?

you can just hit the scribe tool with hammer to make a small hole, then drill it.. that's what i did. and if you change your mind later on you scan skew in a bolt into the hole(s) to re seal them

Thanks for the video, I just (November 5th) finished doing the holes on the exhaust of my Stryker 2015, it sounds great... Thank you very much...

Does this effect the bike's performance? Also, will this have any adverse effects on the motor (burn pistons/ rings, run hot, etc...)?

Just drilling baffles shouldn't affect much..The fuel injection will compensate for the slight difference in backpressure.

I adjusted my Sony as-15 and its more in focus now, just got a as-100 and it seems like there is no way to adjust the focus.

it should be pretty much the same, can you post some photos over at FloridaStreetScene.com so I can see what you are working with? use photobucket to host them.

also did they finally make the 100 have a rotating lens? maybe that is the factor here? probably not though.

Okay, you see right behind the edge of the lens there is that cloudy white ring that goes around the lens. That should be the glue holing that lens in place. Take a needle and if it goes into that stuff like it is hard glue then that's what you want to remove. It may take some force to get it out but take your time with it and it will come out. Once that's out/off you will be able to rotate the lens to focus it. It's a pain to get that stuff off but once you do then the lens will be able to rotate. sometimes you have to give it a little more force to break the left overs that get inside that edge under there but it has to be done. Just be careful and don't destroy your camera.

are you shortening the focal plane. I didn't here you say spin this or turn that looking at monitor? DO you just guess where you think your subject may be in future?

At 2:30 I mention that I was going to put it through the TV, as in with the HDMI adapter cable. I did this off camera as I didn't think anyone needed to have a view of a hallway. You rotate the lens itself until you find the sweet spot. The sweet spot is the infinite focal point. as in everything in view will be in focus. It can take some time to find it but once you do it will do wonders for your video, everything will be in focus as you want it. If you don't want everything in focus it can be adjusted so that only the subject you want to record will be in focus, good for when camera is aimed at rider or driver in a car but it will help to keep the background blurred out if that is desired. Once the focal point you want is found then lock the lens down with some new glue and be done with it. Basically the lens is on a big screw that you twist to adjust it's length from the sensor to adjust focal range. It's pretty simple to do, just be careful to not break anything when doing it. picking out the epoxy that holds the lens in place is key.

BTW, all action cameras use the same system.

yes but contour roam doesn't have HDMI so how do you focus other than trial and error?
@bonechilltech2770
@bonechilltech2770 10 лет назад
AAAHHH, yeah the contour +2 does have the HDMI, so in your case it will be more of a trial and error mess for you, that's bum luck right there. I would say the best way I can think of is that if you can just leave a USB cable connected to your camera while it's on and just keep making clips and downloading them and viewing them until you get it dialed in. It may help to spin the lens a large amount on the first few videos until you can get close to the spot where you need to be. Use a color pencil to mark the lens edge in increments as you rotate it so that you can know where you are dialing it in to easier. Color pencil will come off easily, that's why I suggest it. If you have any other questions, do ask, I'll do my best to answer.
