First time watching your reactions and I usually don't stick around to listen to the talk after the episodes. But you ladies are interesting to listen to. Looking forward to more reactions. Also subbed to help out with the growth of the channel.
ahh thank you so much, we are so glad you enjoyed hanging out with us :) and thank you for supporting the growth of the channel it really does mean a lot! can't wait to watch more shows with everyone!! :D
Really enjoyed your reactions and that you actually have a commentary afterwards. I read the manga twice and didn't expect I would love this adaptation so much lol. I also wonder if you will react to Kpop stuff?
thank you so much for the kind words!!!! when you heard about the adaptation coming out were you excited? :D we both watched the anime a long time ago but heard nothing about the adaptation until it came up on netflix so we were pleasantly surprised! kpop stuff is also at the back of our minds! but since we are so new it may be a little while before we branch off to more :P
Im suprised you dont know Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Like seriously? It's a classic tale of a man who turns into a monster. Think Hulk, but he turns into Hyde when he drinks a potion
Loved the reaction only thing i didnt like how you over explaining to her when the show will explain it itself not a big deal tho anyway keep up the good work
thanks for the feedback! glad you enjoyed the reaction! i personally like it when qomi explains things as it reinforces my thoughts or helps answers any questions i have! :) did you finish watching the series?
alsdjfkldfj yessss theres so much hype around this show right now that I'm super curious as to what its about! no spoilers pls but am I going to need tissues? 😭
29:20 It was not explained in this series but it's shown in the original story that parasytes can create "duplicates" by separating themselves, while each duplicate can maintain a certain level of intelligence, depending on their size.
i see! thanks for explaining! i love how they brought so many elements from the original story into this one but still had its differences! how do you feel about this adaptation?
@@nojaemnolife I like it a lot, especially the action scenes, like the way they use their bodies along with the 'tentacles'. Although there're some minor plot holes, I think it's pretty engaging and a good watch!
You guys finally made it! I was waiting for your guys' reaction for the OG story character cameo! During every epsiode , I was always thinking to myself "imagine if they have Shinichi come in". Hopefully we get an update on if there will be another season/series with both of the main characters. I have another show suggestion. It's called Sho'gun. There is 9 episodes so far. It's really really good!
Thank you so much for hanging around and watching! honestly, it wasn't even on my radar that they would bring in Shinichi but such a welcomed surprise! I hope it gets renewed for another season as well because I'd love to see how they blend the two universes together. Thanks for the recommendation! We'll definitely check it out! Are you all caught up on Sho'gun as well?
@@nojaemnolife Yeah you're right. I'm looking forward to how they blend the two universes together as well. And yes I have caught up with Sho'gun. Honestly after watching Sho'gun weekly I kind of regret it because after every episode I want to jump into another but I have to wait a week lol. So yeah. Also it is the number 1 most searched tv show with a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes and 95% from Google users.
@Pokemon60660 ahh yeah thats definitely the downside of watching shows as soon as its released, i enjoy binging so i usually try to wait for all episodes to be released (big emphasis on the try😅). Definitely excited to see what the hype is all about!
chocolate chips is so random lol and yes when shinichi shown up my reaction are the same too. For Shinichi Parazyte name's Migi unable to stay conscious like Heidi she can active only 15 minutes so as Migi but maybe half a day or so at one point Migi have to help Shinichi to recovery form a big hole in his chest and that during the healing his Parazyte part lost on the way through out the body and make Miki unable to stay conscious at the end Migi just sleep and not walking up, but Shinichi has extra strength more like super human now. I think due to the budget maybe the Parazyte seems to can transform only the head because the Japanese version can transform the whole body. Fun fact : the director is from Train to Busan 😊
yeah idk why i said chocolate chips, one of the few things that popped into my head in the moment😂 ahh i see!! if there is a season 2, i wonder if they will include that! 👀but that's so sad that Migi was unable to stay awake 😢 ooooo I heard lots of great things for Train to Busan! will definitely need to check it out!
4:05 I find it weird you guys don't know the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde reference considering it's also used as a saying in the English language(usually referencing a person that acts one way in public but another in private). To make it simpler Bruce Banner/The Hulk from Marvel is a bit of a play on Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde a normalish person with a monstrous alter ego inside them.
The Parasites are very logical and objective. Heidi was not exactly being understanding in a human, empathetic sense. She was objectively analysing Su-In's subconscious like Su-In herself couldn't (because for her it's extremely emotional of course).
ooo this is a very intersting take! i agree that the parasites have a very objective mindset, in the sense that they will do whatever it takes to survive. i just think that in Heidi's case, given the cards that she was dealt with, in order for her to survive, she had to learn to be more empathetic so Su-In would cooperate. If Heidi had acted like other parasites, it's obvious given Su-In's nature, she probably would have done something to herself before the parasite could do more harm to others
@@nojaemnolife I mean, it's just my understanding of how that scene went of course. But you are right of course. Parasyte (also the old manga/anime) was always in large parts about the human and parasite who are forced to coexists learning to understand each other better and work together. Part of that is for the parasite to gain an understanding of it's host's mind which of course is not possible for "normal" parasites who kill their hosts when infecting them. They do feel different from how humans feel but the connection of course moves both minds somewhat closer together. I hope they continue with a season two because I'm very curious about how they will continue this! :)
oh cool! i actually didn't know what the parasite's goals were besides just surviving. if there were more parasites like Heidi, I feel like it would be possible for humans and parasites to coexist and learn to understand each other but, unfortunately, she is basically the one-off that will be able to do that. yes, i hope they renew for another season as well! it was so well done! did you enjoy the series? :)
@@nojaemnolife absolutely! I enjoyed this one as well as the original anime. btw: I don't know what the parasites' "goal" or "purpose" here are either (and apparently, they themselves don't really know either) but the original story also was about a person who got infected but managed to keep the parasite from devouring their brain.... a certain Shiniji Izumi.... ;)
I assumed this series would be a bootleg, poorly adapted version of the anime. Although this series has many flaws, especially in certain scenarios, I am pleased to say that I enjoyed the story and was deeply invested in every episode. There are numerous scenes that will make you giggle and roll your eyes, but in an endearing way. This is a delightfully bad series. I believe the narrative could have been crafted more skillfully. Some parts are puzzling, making you wonder why certain decisions were made when better alternatives seemed available. At times, the characters make illogical and nonsensical decisions that neither aid the situation nor alter the outcome. Despite these shortcomings, the story was coherent enough for me and worth watching. Revisiting the concern I mentioned earlier; I feared this would be a subpar adaptation of the anime, but I am thrilled to report that the series’ conclusion unveils something extraordinary that I believe every anime enthusiast will appreciate. If I were to rate this series, it would receive an 8/10. I genuinely enjoyed it, flaws and all. In my view, it’s a wonderfully bad series, and I am eagerly anticipating the hinted sequel. Please watch the series to the end; you’re in for a surprise!
8/10 is a pretty high score for a delightfully bad series! :P what are some specific scenes or moments you would want to change about it? what situation do you feel like did not aid or alter the outcome? would love to talk more about the show! :)
