That’s impressive. I know the big Boy isn’t producing 406 pounds of pulling power. I don’t doubt all them cars weigh 400 lbs. that’s a lot of weight for sure.
Please excuse my dumb question - I don't know much about model railroading... In this amazing garden railway, how are the trains powered? Through the tracks or are the trains self-powered? Thanks.
This is massive and you must have a dedicated team of landscapers. My railroad in the UK is only 175ft in length and it takes a few hrs to check everything before it runs smoothly as the British weather is so destructive on the track. I service my 3 engines in the winter which takes about 30 mins each, I shudder to think the time it takes for all your trains. This is truly astounding.

All we have is a small oval in the backyard / to test the trains that we sell on eBay. I sometimes miss that incredible layout, until I realize that it cost $60,000 a year to keep it up. Then I come back down to reality! We are in the process of compiling all of the video tape that we shot over the years (and we mean a lot!) so we can produce some more videos for YouTupe, on this incredible layout that we had. This is an awesome display of the Big Boy's pulling power as a g scale electric train pulling this 152 car freight by itself unlike the 6 diesels pulling this same train later on in the video. The real Big Boy could pull 6 mile long freight trains by itself. The only thing missing inthis consist of cars are the box cars and some covered hopper cars but other than that this an awesome video.

I wanted to cry when I heard this Layout is gone. It seems that Dennis ran into serious financial problems. The house had to be sold. Sadly no one realized the value of the Layout. It had to be destroyed to sell the property. I believe that Dennis was able to sell the rolling stock. I could live the rest of my life for what it was worth. Thanks for leaving the videos.🥱
