I've seen many videos of DIY cat shelters, but this is the best!! This is going to last a long time!! Good for you!! And very cold resistant. I'd love to have a couple of these, but I think I'll have to stick with the plastic storage containers, insulation board, straw, as my carpentry skills are not as good as yours....Take Care....Hope you can have your outside cats spayed and neutered, so no kittens....Very good person to give your outside cats shelter....
Thank you for loving stray cats. It takes a kind heart to think of them and make a home for them. Some people let their dogs out to kill them. I just cannot do anything about it. Law enforcement doesn't do much for them. I pray everyday that these people get sick and move away.
He buddy I’m a fan of RTIC have the 52 lightweight and the hard cooler with the handle (forget what it’s called) Anyway wanting something for jet ski. I love your idea of the inserts, especially when it comes to food. Why not just buy and use the OZARK or the COLEMAN ?? Curious the reason? Zipper better? More pockets? Quality?
@@esava2874 Yeah i figured that had to be the case. I cannot deal with a broken zipper/or just a chore to get in and out of. So can I still buy that insert (red one with tray cover) and which one was that again? That was the Ozark
Nice video and a great diy project youb accomplished there! I was wondering if you are still satisfied with the performance? When you have the temp at 59F, do you smoke your cigars right out of the coolidor or do you have another routine prior to smoking them? Thank you!

Off the top of my head. Probably $50 or less for the cooler. $10 for the weather stripping. $2 for the latch. $3 for the light. $14 for the wire closet racks. And maybe $12-15 for each Spanish cedar tray. And what ever your preferred method of humidity cost you. I already had the fan. But it was $20 on Amazon.

Very cool construction. You literally thought this through. The Tupperware shelter is cheap since many of them crack in very cold weather so they are pointless. Bless your heart for being an animal lover.
Thanks! I was going to go the Rubbermaid route. But was thinking long term and as you said they don't hold up well in the winter here in Illinois. So far so good. Going on winter #2 with no issues. Thanks for watching.
Really? I have no money to get anything more than a tupperware shelter. Also, I am a small woman taking care of strays by myself. This metal bin is too heavy for me.
Super kind of u to care for feral cats. ppl are sick to just dump animals. This idea is ingenious. I got some xl Coleman, igloo coolers as outdoor housing. They were already pre made by a seller online. They have two entry way & straw. The ferals took to it immediately. Good luck w ur invention.
