Cool ad, a mini-interview with Benedict 🥰 found it after I’d watched the Jaguar “Art of Villainy” ads with Tom Hiddleston [Loki 🥵🔥], Mark Strong [Merlin in the Kingsman movies also 🥵] etc.
You can tell this isn't some sort of a script Benedict is reading. He's describing it in his own words. Of course, there is some sort of context he has to fit into, but the fact he isn't reading simple lines but delivering it his own way shows how incredibly clever he is. P.S. What an amazing voice he has! The voice, the looks, the eyes, the hands... AAAGH! He's perfect 🥰
I would love to see how Sherlock and John react to fanfiction about them....

I like the fact this ad is in a city with normal cars and streets instead of some super empty road that is in top notch condition and always flat for miles to end. And Benedict. Can I get a Benedict Cumberbatch with the car, please? On the driving seat, thanks.

i think benedict’s and martin’s relationship as actors in bbc sherlock is akin to michael sheen’s and david tennant’s relationship as actors in good omens. i really enjoy that both pairs of actors were not only accepting of fans shipping their characters but also through their acting (probably in the case of benedict and martin and confirmedly in the case of michael and david) allowed there to be some ambiguity in the characters’ relationships in their respective shows, leaving lots of room for fans to ship or not ship their characters. that’s a real ally move and i’m absolutely always here for it. i’m a big johnlock fan but i often step back and consider john’s and sherlock’s relationship as a friendship and not a romantic relationship, and i still think that there’s such richness in their friendship without making it romantic. of course there are lots of plays at other people in the show thinking they’re a couple, but as friends they both take that in stride and it doesn’t hurt their pride or threaten their sense of masculinity, which is so wonderful to see in a pair of best friends. but again, benedict and martin also give fans so much to interpret and space to read between the lines if we so choose.
