OK pall iv got one of those an just wondering how to value it.. It's in as new condition any help would be greatly appreciated iv been looking around for a guide price but no one selling one
I bought a red 12k 1996. Absolutely in mint condition. I've only put 300 miles on it so far this year as all it does is RAIN. Its as smooth as silk to ride. Pulls in the midrange like the hand of god pushing you. It's okay getting a run up behind traffic and passing them like lightning, but if you treat it like a sports bike by dropping a gear it's not so responsive. It will go, but not in a rush of revs. I LOVE IT.
I have the same colour in an 88 model and I call it a truck because it pulls like one, but handles like a bicycle. I had a 750 Nighthawk S and this little Savage thumper handles wind and a passenger much easier than the Nighthawk but the Nighthawk behaved more like a sportscar when one up, so each had its own kind of fun, but I want that combo in my next bike. I wish we had the Yamaha Tracer 700 in Canada!
Had my Kawasaki KZ 1000 for 5 years ,I just love the old world build and the presence it gives on the road .Bought it off a cop who we used to buy American cars off in the 70s & 80s ,he had it in his living room in San Francisco ,till his wife said the magic words " either the bike goes or I do " . It just needed the rotten tyres replacing and the stupid rocking gearlever and a good mess with the Police wiring ,that looked like a five year old fitted !. It always starts off the button and the paint etc. is still good ,have cut my bike collection because of old injuries and my age [75 in Feb.] but am reluctant to sell the Kwak .It was one of the last models produced before the Police went back to Harley"s with 60,000 + miles on the clock . The gearlever ,hopeless kickstand and the "skinny" tyres spoil the bike ........ Ride hard & live long from the U.K.
