Morning. I know what it’s like having to travel quite a long way, to get into some new territory, but always worth it in the end. The Denbigh moors are stunning too, and never used to be overly busy when we frequented them. From Knutsford though, I guess you usually pop to the Cat and fiddle, Castleton and the likes. Stunning round there too, but often very busy. I wouldn’t overly worry about the length of your vids. Yes, it’s nice to make them under 30 minutes, but sometimes they lose continuity. I have given up worrying about trying to keep to 30mins, but like you, I do edit out the boring bits. Nice ride, take care.

@@mtakai-fj9tf 👋👋👋🙂 Hello, thank you for your nice comment I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I had always planned to put the Triumph Screen on because it was made for the Speedmaster. But, It is very expensive to buy and have it fitted here in the UK ( The cost for me was £400.00 GBP. To buy and fit. ). It took some time to save enough money. I put the street shield EX on that I had from a previous bike. The Street shield EX is a very good screen but it was a 'Universal' screen, not made for the Speedmaster specifically.The New screen is and it has chrome and suits the style of the bike better. I hope that has answered your question. Best Wishes, from 'Some Ol' Dude'.

@@nicholasjarrold8649 Hi, Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it, it was a really nice day out, the comfort on the Speedmaster ..for me, was brilliant, on other bikes I get back aches, a sore ar*se and numb legs after a long period, but not on the Speedmaster which just knocked the enjoyment factor up a notch for me. Plenty of bikes to look at there, even though it was a quiet day. Lovely clean café, beautiful scenery all around. Yes, it was worth the two hour trip and if you are a 'long haul' type of biker two hours is nothing. I hope you'll watch part two next week as I head down the horse shoe pass and through Llangollen trying to find my way back. Next time though, after Llangollen, I'll reverse my course back past the café, there's more scenery than the way I went. Still it was fun, if you just like to ride. Best wishes, 'Some Ol' Dude'.👍🙂.

I was considering taking the demo Guerrilla 450 up to the Ponderosa, but the ride has been ruined by the speed limits. Back when the run was enjoyable, it was a 60mph road, but at 40mph it’ll be boring 🥱 I believe the road to Corwen, is now 50mph, with average speed camera’s all the way🤬.

Thanks I love these rides and chats. I'm an expat. In OZ and I miss the English countryside. The sight and sound of the Speedmaster is very pleasing too. @@stevenwatling3160 Hi, thanks for watching. ( Did you click 'LIKE' ? , lol. ) Have to ask, so many forget. The Countryside is lovely, but I would swap places with you in a heart beat, It's my dream to ride around Australia's Coastline some day. (You don't want to come back here to Bat sh*t Bonkers Britain, just watch videos it's safer 😂 ). Which screen ?? Well, I've had two, the first one is a screen you can fit yourself, see the walk around Vid', it was slightly taller and the Angle could be adjusted in case of buffeting. But, it just didn't look right with the style of the bike...just my opinion ( oops, better be careful having one of those a t.m. 😂 ). The New screen is from Triumph ( the Large one. ) and was made for The Speedmaster. Unfortunately you need to take the forks off to fit it, so I paid them to do it and it looks fantastic, again, my opinion. Personally, I get some buffeting over 60 mph but if I just ease back a little it goes away. ( Plus I have a camera and com's all over my helmet so it's not very streamlined. Which could very well be the reason for the buffeting. 🤔). Other People say it's fine for them so maybe it's the price I pay for having cameras etc on the helmet. Personally, I think this screen is a good look with the added chrome bits, goes well with the bikes look and I don't need to hit 70 mph very often, so I'm sticking with the Present 'Triumph' Large screen. Hope that helps in some way. Thanks again for watching and your comment, happy riding. I'll do the Gold Coast highway one day...I believe it's stunning. Best wishes. 'Some Ol' Dude'. P.s. Maybe you could get a test ride on one with a large screen fitted to try before you buy ?

Well you’ve really hooked me. I’ve been riding Harleys for decades and actually worked for many of the dealers as webmaster since the late 90s. But the Speedmaster is a real looker and got my attention immediately. So I headed over to my local dealer and had a look at two new ‘24 models he had in stock. Actually it turned out that he had a beautiful red stealth model that I was particularly interested in and I bought it immediately. This my first Triumph and I absolutely love it. I’m really enjoying your riding videos and the beautiful English countryside and the little villages. I would love to ride there someday. I live and ride in the high plains of north-central Colorado, USA (5,000ft) near Rocky Mountain National Park so the scenery from the saddle of a motorcycle is spectacular. The Triumph Bonneville 'Speedmaster' 1200cc is a lovely bike. I think it all depends on how much experience you have. If you are set on a cruiser style...maybe try a smaller cc cruiser to get used to how different they feel and handle, to the 'taller' bikes. Cornering surprised me. I've got used to it now, but, if you 'do' decide to just go straight to the Speed master 1200...take it slow and easy on the tighter bends and maybe practice in car parks as I did until you feel more confident. Nice video again. Tell me, I've had my speedy almost a year now and have a trip coming up so I thought I'd better get it up on the paddock stand to check things. I'd put bobbins on, but when I tried to use my Oxford stand on it, there was no way both me and my burly friend could get it to come up. It's like the centre of gravity is in the wrong place. I'm wondering id a paddock stand with a long handle would help. What do you use please?

Hi, thanks for watching, always appreciated. ( Did you click like ? 😂 ). Yes, those paddock stands, what a pain in the ar*e. Have to say I have the same problem, I found a 'Table lift' with a small 'table' lift accessory for lifting the rear wheel, in a sale and I now use that, it makes life so much easier. It's also great for cleaning because I can lift it right up and get underneath. BUT, if you 'have' to use the paddock ...I ended up getting more people to help me get it up onto it. Getting it down is easy enough. But I think you're right, the center of the gravity/ balance is very different on 'cruiser style' bikes. I hope you figure it out, have a great trip and a great summer. Best Wishes, S Ol' D. 👍👍👍🙂

It does seem that way doesn't it lol. You'll find it on the official Triumph website. I think there's a shorter one too. But I like the tall one. Hope that helps, thanks for watching. 👍

Hi, Yes. I finally found the money to have the proper Triumph Speed master screen fitted. But that other screen has done me proud, a very good piece of kit. But I was always going to put the Triumph one on eventually. Thanks. Have a great Summer. 👍

Love the speebdmaster I’m 5ft7 and found the T120 more suitable and I can get my feet on the ground thanks for sharing buddy 👌😊☺️

Hi, thanks for watching. I agree, the T120 is better for your height, I've had other taller bikes, like the Kawasaki Z900 RS, the R.E. Interceptor 650 and a Classic 350, they all had me on tip toe, but I wanted a cruiser style more suitable to a 5' 5" short arse like myself and the speed master is now my new baby. Have a great summer, thanks again. 👍 ( Pssst...did you click LIKE ? 🤔...just checking 😂😂😂 ) Best wishes.

Hey Dude, another fab video from you sir. What make of screen is that you have on your Speedmaster and where did you get it from? Keep the videos coming!!
@someoldude7578

Hi, glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching. ( Did you remember to click 'LIKE' ..? 😂 ). Ok, so, there have been Two screens, the 'temporary' screen that was on during the 'walk around' video, which is a good strong, easy to fit piece of kit, on which I discuss the make of it and the 'current' screen which is the proper screen made specifically for the speed master which I ordered from Triumph themselves and had them fit it as it requires taking the forks off to slip the connection rings over, NOT in my bag of skills 😂😂😂. Costly, but ultimately worth it 🙂. Best wishes S'm' Ol' D'd' 👍.

Hey Dude, I always hit the like button! Thanks for the info on the screen. I can't understand why Triumph would make clamps that did not split and have to take top yoke off to fit screen unless it's a money making exercise to force folk who are not mechanical to take it to dealers!

@@skyhill4279 Thanks for the 'Like' much appreciated. 👍. That's what I said to them at the shop, it cost me around about £400 to have it fitted, but, at least I felt safe on it on the ride home, unlike if I'd done it..wondering if the left over nuts and bolts in my pocket were 'really' all that important 🤔...😂😂😂. In what area of the planet are you? I'm in UK, Manchester, Altrincham area.
