I need your help. I’m writing a fantasy Roman (the King’s 13 Crows) and I can’t decide for a name for my love interest. To his character: he is reserved and mysterious. has a moral grey area and a bad childhood. his parents were murdered by criminals when he was 4 years old. the king's private *secret service* raised him. they taught him to be loyal, cold, calculating and deadly. he feels a bit left out because he is the only one in the group who doesn't have wings, but he would never admit it. he is a shadowborn so he can control the darkness and the creatures hidden in it. the crows are his family and he would do anything for them, even arrest innocents The name examples: -Liam (the protector) -Sirius (the brightest star) -Caelum (another star) -Eryx (the Ruler) -Arwan (little warrior) -Azrael (angel of death) Please I need help and by the way my main character‘s name is Elara And I want to publish my book next year, I’m already working since months on it but I don’t know I really struggle with his name

I imagine chat.GPT and Word have updated a lot lately to do the file makeup and conversion. I also imagine this app will be subscription-only now that this is more popular.

I have a great book well self edited. For a year have been trying to self publish and so far choose lulu. I lack the computer skills to carry this out. At this time will never be able to self publish for that reason. The tutorials dont make sense. I live in a small town and can find no help around here.
Jump to the 12-minute mark and that's where the tutorial on formatting starts. I downloaded a template but there are no margins in it. What's up with that?
Hi! I tried to follow your tutorial using my original PDF with all of the recommended margins and gutter added ... and Adobe "printed" it as though it were a 6x9 document centered on an 8.5x11 page ... which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. What am I missing here, LOL??
I’m really struggling with this. I am doing an 8.5 x 11 coloring book I’ve done the whole download template from ingramspark but it doesn’t give you exact dimensions so I can load those into canva. What you did with the book builder how do you know what size you picked for the cover?
Hi, when I copy and paste my manuscript into Lulu's template, it overrides her margins and gutter settings and uses those from my original Word doc. Yours didn't do that in the video. Do you know why mine might be doing that?
I’m not sure. I used to have a horrible time with the pdf margins every time I put in the Lulu template, and had to fix it in Adobe PDF to keep it from overriding it. I will say as of now 2024, I’m Atticus formatting tool. It has made formatting my books SO much easier. I hope that answers your question thanks for watching!

Hi there! I am a 65- year- old woman struggling with this. I am printing my books in parts, and then, hopefully to put it all together in 1 book. I have Open Office, do not have a subscription to Adobe Pro. Maybe I should. I tried to do this, But, I am still trying to mesh the instructions of theirs and yours. I can embed the fonts in Open Office, but as you said, in transferring into a PDF, the page does change from "6x9," to "81/2x11." Does anyone have any suggestions for me? All will be appreciated! Thank you SO much for your comment! This was an old video, and since then I have found something that is SO much easier, and that is Atticus. Atticus is so easy, less stressful. I cannot sing it’s praises enough. You don’t have to worry about page sizes for PDF none of that. Atticus is $147 but it only a one time price, and it has been SO worth it! Thanks Amazon KDP changes your prices lowers them and yes seems like hidden fees on $10 book I've gotten less than $2 a book . Some I'm looking to move my books to lulu & d2d to try out both platforms .I have to many logins issues with kdp
Thanks so you know there new terms for 2023 . They collaborate with who I forget. I've started a book on their site but never published it years ago. My pics would disappear cuz I copied & pasted them
This does sound pretty good! I want something like D2D's feature of adding special material automatically, on multiple books, too--that would be so much time saved! (I use Scrivener usually)
