Some individuals will not show up even when the lawyer tells them it’s in their best interest too. I’m being harassed by a childhood friend currently who is schizophrenic. Her family does not want the responsibility of having guardianship. So im going to ask them to at least petition the state to get her one, to mandate mental health treatment. She is ruining lives while untreated. Idk if she will show up to court but regardless of that there are some very sick individuals who do need a guardian.

There are thousands of people that are forced into it just so guardians and lawyers can steal their money. Lawyers offer rewards to medical people it force a wealthy person into a guardianship just to rob them. Once an innocent person gets into one its hard to get out. YOu can look up news stories where people are stuck in them and even the news say they dont belong in one. The problem is they were millionairs and the lawyers and judges want that money. So they can only have $500 a month to spend on themselves and the guardians and lawyers get $10,000 a month to keep them

What the f**k were legislators thinking when they wrote and enacted laws that stripped every civil right on the books from the so called "wards"? Did they actually not understand human nature? @C Gibson guardianship hearings are notorious for being held without the proposed Conservatee being present because they remove every right they have & after that point they can no longer make any decisions for themselves including choosing their own attorney
