I never knew much about monkeys until I started reading up on them and watching BBC and PBS documentaries. And like most people, I regarded them as vermin until I learned how nurturing, protective and emphatic they are. I also never knew that they help the ecosystem because of the seeds in the fruits they eat and disperse them as they poop in the jungle. They get such a bad, uninformed/misinformed rap….
Maybe put the really clingy ones alone so the more independent babies dont have to fight the clingtrons off just so they can play. Its not right to let the brats weigh down the better ones.
Bronevik looks great! Thank you for all the posts of him. Omaha didn't seem to post much of him, so missed alot between when he left San Francisco and while there. He loves a pool, happy he has one at your place. He seems to love the snow! Did he father any Cubs in Omaha?
I know this is old, but it's a great video on a very important topic. I hope that you continue to upload these talks in future and maybe even revisit the topic of rhino conservation and see what has changed in the years since this video.
orh, poor little thing! I'm watching cause my mum won't let me anywhere near her baby, so I'm researching to make absolutely sure she is feeding it, I did manage to sneak a tiny look at mine though & much more of a fluffball & looking much bigger at less than 24 hours old, so I guess my mum must be feeding hers (and really well). What a difference in mothering between mine & this one!
Lionfish are indeed invasive species. Which is why we like to feature them at the zoo. It's a good learning opportunity about all the different marine life and how we can not only protect it but affect it.
Such a wonderful, beautiful animal. ❤ Imagine if we'd never seen a cow before. We would look at them with just as much wonder and a desire to care for them. They are just as deserving. Think about veganism everyone! 😊
