The Stickboys is about one thing and one thing only--Pure Bowhunting. Bowhunting runs through our veins and hopefully that passion and genuine excitement shows through in our videos. Hope you enjoy!
You’re not wrong he was super easy to talk with. I ended up not going with his bow but it was only due to having a local bowyer build one for me!! One day I’ll definitely give him my business.
Alan was my idol growing up. What he did with his 90# compound or his stick bow just amazed me in the late 80's early 90's. To me he was the best there was in the day! I hope to meet him 1 day...my favorite hunter of his, is where he took his boots n socks off by a dozer on a bedded buck! I'll never forget that hunt
Awesome video, I live in the piedmont and have been compound hunting but really want to try out shooting a traditional bow, where would you recommend looking for insight of what poundage and arrow to use? Also hope you and your family are all ok with the storm recently
Expertise wrapped in humility and dedication to the craft. Your poise and confidence are something we should all aspire to. The wisdom you're able to share is normally reserved for old men gathered outside the general store. Thanks for the hard work it took to share this footage!
I have family and friends in Marion and Spruce Pine. I know the damage and havoc the storm brought to the area. We went 11 days without power or water here were we live. I hope you and yours are safe and what damage to property you might have had is repaired and things return to normal as soon as they can. Keep the videos coming when you find the time to get into the woods this fall.
What a blessing to have your son right there with you bow hunting. I lived on the woods with my dad and we still hunt together much as we can. My 14 year old boy has no interest at all. Ive tried everything and he just dont like it. He likes to help me track when i shoot one,and he likes to eat them lol. I wont lie it hurts a little bit because hunting and fishing is the only thing i like.
That was a wonderful video. A great hunt. I live in Canton near Asheville and my home and family are safe. You’re encouraging words at the end of the video is what we all need to remember. Blessings to you and your family.
Thank you for sharing this awesome video as well as for speaking God's truths. I was blessed to make my first traditional harvest this year with my longbow. I am now focused on getting one with my recurve. I am also praying for everyone who was hit hard by the storm. Though my yard became a lake/river, I and my family were spared from any major loss. May God take care of and provide for all of those in need. God bless you and your family.
