The elephant in the room is appetite. These drugs are okay until you stop taking them and then the weight will go back on as the evidence proves.

that is the central message in the video. appetite or satiety which is mediated by hormones leptin, gherelin etc is how weight loss can be achieved whether with Ozempic or without….

I went to my doctor to ask for ozempic because I wanted the easy way out. He wasn’t able to prescribe it to me, but he was able to help me get a plan going for my diet. I’ve been doing keto and the weight is literally falling off of me. It’s amazing.

So.... they didn't live in America. I wake up at 3:30 am, make breakfast and lunch (pack because I'm poor), get dressed, get my kids dressed, then i leave at 5 to drive an hour to work. My husband does stuff in the morning as well and then he takes the kids to school at 5:45 and gets to work at 6:30 Then he picks up the kids from school at 3:30 while i drive home from work. We shower and make dinner and cycle chores, eat dinner, more chores, then it's time for bed at 7. If you live in America and you have time to do all the european chillaxing you want, you're rich and childless.

Over the years, I've learned to not give a rats behind about my cholestorel levels. They can go through the roof for all I care. I only care about four things 1) Fastin Glucose levels 2) Fasting Insulin levels (probably more important than glucose levels) 3) Triglyrecides levels in the normal range & 4) My vitamin D levels. The ony real way to accomplish this is to minimize or practically elimate processed carbs, process sugars and don't eat anything cooked with seed/vegetable oils. That pretty much takes care of 1-3. For number 4, I supplement with Cod Liver oil with Vitamin D and Vitamin A. I haven't gone to the doctor in over 5 years for a full lab work and don't plan to ever do it again unless it's an emergency. I did go to a different part of town where I grew up for an infection that I had in my ear where it was run by carribean doctors, haitian and cubans, to help out the poor community and they took my insurance. The nurse took my blood pressure, and then paused and took off the strap to test it again. I asked if anything was wrong? She said no only that she hadn't seen a blood pressure reading that good in a hispanic man in his late 40s (at the time) in that part of town, ever, so she wanted to make sure. The clinic was in the barrio where I grew up and I went there to skip all the regular medical clinics BS on the nicer parts of town where they want you to take a bunch of unnecessary tests to milk your insurance. In many cases, they do this in order to find something, anything, just to get you on some type of prescription medicine. They already tried that by telling me that my total cholesterol was "a bit high" due to the low carb/high fat diet I do and they weren't too sure I should be on it and cooking eggs and bacon in lard because that is "dangerous". They told me that after I finally lost weight I struggled to lose for years, my HbA1c went from the prediabetes range back to 4.8, my blood pressure normalized and the biggest one, the most difficult one I struggled with for decades before that....my triglycerides had FINALLY plummeted. But, my total cholesterol was still, "a bit high" and I "needed to be very concerned about that". (this is a true story folks) Thanks, but no thanks. Years ago here on youtube, a female doctor talked about that most of her older patients that had the highest level of cholesterol and weren't on statins were the ones that lived the longest. Go figure. My theory is that our government, our food industry, our health care industry and especially our pharmaceutical industry have worked together to make sure we're always sick so that they can all profit from it. They want our children to have cognitive impairment and end up going to college to study garbage, because that's all they can handle. That gives no value to hiring managers anywhere so they end up with debt they'll never be able to pay off. They then use that to rationalize legal and illegal immigration from smart foreigners mainly because they don't eat the garbage we usually find on the store shelves here in America. They also make sure we don't live too long to put a burden on the US treasury and help balance the social security benefits for the next generations. Ever notice how the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society always want more and more money to find a cure but NEVER do and if you ask me, they NEVER will. No disrespect to the doctor here, I'm sure he has good intentions and all. I'm also sure he'll say that, "it's not that simple". But ok, fair enough. I'll just keep doing my thing, my own research and do something that is becoming a lost art.....use common sense.

You definitely get the longest yet YT comment award 😊. Firstly, Total Cholesterol ( made up of both LDL & HDL) isn’t accurate….what we really care about is LDL ( surrogate for APO-B) but it’s one out of over a dozen risk factors. In a pt who is obese, hypertensive, smoker, insulin resistant etc etc…LDL will be more damaging….& if u r healthy & also don’t have stress, sleep well ( no apnoea ) & have favourable genetics then LDL won’t do much damage. It’s like the grandma who smoked till age 100…doesn’t prove that smoking isnt dangerous but it’s the other factors which can be the spark which causes the forest fire 🤓

@@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD Thank you for that information doctor. I do have sleep apnea but thankfully, I've been using a CPAP machine for 11 years now and it has changed my life. When the doctor told me 5 years ago when I did full keto that my total cholesterol was a bit high, she immediately offered a statin. I then had to ask her why she just congratulated me on my health progress, especially the plummet in triglyceride levels for the first time in who knows how long before that? She then offered a more in depth cholesterol test to make sure that it wasn't bad cholesterol. My mind said, ok, but why didn't she offer that first instead of a statin prescription??? I respectfully refused the tests, and the statin of course. I didn't think they were needed. She was coaching another doctor doing her residence. The newbie asked me what I was doing to improve all them other markers. I told her keto. She asked more questions like what was I eating and how was I cooking them. When I told her that I was cooking eggs and bacon in lard practically every morning, she gave me the "are you crazy" look and immediately started to warn me how dangerous that was and strongly recommended I stop and go on a low-fat diet. I then asked her if her family was from Mexico. She said no, they are from Peru. I then asked, are your grandparents from there. She said yes. I asked how old they were. She said her grandfather just died at 94 but her grandmother was still living and she was 96. I then asked her, if they used lard to cook? All she did was smile and could not give me an answer.

@@fisterhr thanks for sharing. in my village in India i had people of my grandparents age who cooked in lard & died of heart attack at 50 as well as those who smoked like chimneys & lived till 100 🤓. the point being that while anecdotal evidence ( ie study of N=1 ie one person’s experience & observation) has value, when looking for patterns in conditions which are multi factorial we do have to look at large data sets as well as mechanistic models of how a disease such as heart disease progresses. if you have cut out ultra processed foods & lost weight then u have already achieved 90% of the benefit…whether u r Vegan or Keto …
@fisterhr
@fisterhr Месяц назад
@@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD Ok, but the fact that compared to cheap cooking oils, pork lard is more stable and less prone to oxidation when heated, has very low levels of trans fats and contains fat soluble vitamin D, is good enough for me. If the only thing the doctor found was my total cholesterol being a "bit high" while triglycerides, sugar and insulin was all normal, including good HDL, and my BP was excellent, then I'm good with cooking with with lard since I did that for three months straight before I went to get checked. (I wanted to see if the keto diet was all the hype it was made out to be on social media...I wanted to test it for myself since nothing else was working the reason I cooked with lard was because I read a book that talked about cooking with clean animal fat and its benefits) Low fat diets I tried in the past didn't do anything for my triglycerides and the few pounds I lost in one month of killing myself doing HIIT just wasn't worth it. On keto or low carb / high fat, I work sitting down on an average of 10hrs a day...and the fat still comes off. Yes, I do a little excercise, because I know I need to move around, but isn't it amazing what minimizing carb consumption and abstaiing from all sugar does to the body? I feel better, I have more energy, I sleep better and a bonus, my mind is a lot clearer. I can solve problem more easily in contrast to all them years with brain fog that I used to have. On the smoking to 100 part, there may be some truth to that. How about them French or Italians? They smoke and drink more than we Americans do, yet live longer. I think that it is because they eat better (natural cheeses full of sat fat and monounsat fat) drink red wine, stress less and walk more to get to where they need to get. I hear similar stories from the Nordic countries too in some areas. It's not just the Europeans either, in southern Mexico, you find very old men that work as farmers that still smoke and drink mezcal. They are far from the US border where junk from America probably doesn't arrive in most of their rural area stores.

Recent study of centenarians showed they virtually al had high LDL. When you say decades of evidence that means nothing to me. Decades of establishment evidence is fake. You have to be kidding with this stuff. Soy milk? Really? There is zero proof eating tons of red meat is bad. I eat 3/4 pound red meat a day. Like the longest living people in Earth. Hong Kong. And oats are horrible. No need for beans. Why are so many people thriving on carnivore diet? And there is no “bad” cholesterol. All cholesterol is good.

Very few things are Black or White like u r describing. There are good / less good / bad / less bad foods whether fats, sugars, proteins or dairy etc . Vascular disease is multifactorial. Other factors include genetics, stress, poor sleep, sedentary behaviour, obesity, smoking, exposure to pollutants etc. Generally speaking sweeping ‘ all or nothing’ type statements are less likely to be accurate. Calorie deficit is the only way to burn fat and lose weight. Timing, and the food you eat has very little effect as long as you eat less calories than you need.
@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD
@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD 2 месяца назад
if u watch the longer 30 min video. two studies done by courtney peterson are cited. these demonstrated that even in isocaloric & weight neutral comparitive studies, ETRF resulted in more liver fat burning & more reduction in waist size than control which ultimately is what we are trying to achieve with weight loss ie belly fat loss & better metabolic health….do check it out
@TheRugbyHuddle
@TheRugbyHuddle 2 месяца назад
@@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD assuming that those studies are reliable and conducted to a high degree, there is still countless amounts of evidence that show there is very little/no evidence for spot reduction, and that anything other than calories affects weight loss. Unless you are referring visceral fat, however that does not correlate with appearance. Unfortunately spreading information about low carb diets and other restrictive diets often only makes diets harder for people. Weight loss is relatively simple, and should be kept that way, ofherwise it only becomes unnecessarily difficult for those involved.
@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD
@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD 2 месяца назад
@@TheRugbyHuddle energy balance is the biggest determinant (99%) but to achieve that calorie deficit some choose to count calories while others choose to eat a whole food diet with circadian fasting ( I don’t recommend low carb by the way…only for dinner…plenty of fruits & whole intact grains for breakfast & lunch…watch full video for more details). short term both approaches work for weight loss. long term one may be superior to another for metabolic health…i know my pick & u know yours…we have our biases 🤓
@TheRugbyHuddle
@TheRugbyHuddle 2 месяца назад
@@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD yeah, good point, Just thought it’s best to address the fact that fasting is only a means to reduce caloric intake, It has no effect of specific fat reduction, It has not been shown to have any specific health benefits (depending on the activity levels and when your fasting it may have a negative effect) And there isn’t any support for metabolic health/changes I believe. So whilst you are somewhat correct, I do think you should have mentioned this in the short and long form video, otherwise you are spreading somewhat false information. Your goal is to aid people to lose weight right? Then give them the simplest and actual reason for weight loss (calorie deficit) Then provide them with alternate methods that aid them in achieving this (like fasting)

@@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD That's not the point I was making. The point was that "breakfast being the most important meal of the day" is a myth. That notion was a slogan that the food industry used as part of their advertising campaign. Before, people used to eat when they're hungry. Then, people ate because they were told to because "breakfast is important". After that, people's hunger cues are influenced by the addictive properties of processed foods like sweets, junk food, and fast food. Junk food is *designed* to be addictive. Everyone knows this. There's nothing primal about it. If you eat junk food, you're hungry in the morning. If you don't, you're not. Without the addictive properties of processed foods interfering with our hunger, we're not hungry. So if we're not hungry in the morning, how does it make any sense to eat? It doesn't. If we eat when we're not hungry, we're doing so for pleasure, social obligation, or out of habit; like brushing your teeth. People unconsciously eat breakfast because they've been doing it since they were little. Obesity and other food-related illnesses is a multifaceted problem, and one of those facets is eating when we're not required to because it's been reinforced by a myth that breakfast is absolutely necessary when it's not.

@darkglass3011 If u r skipping meals & fasting then u r already deriving 90% of the benefit primarily by reducing calories & giving the body & gut time to rest, rejuvenate & recover. However if this is done in a socially awkward Circadian Method ie in line with your hormones Melatonin / Insulin sensitivity levels & in line with your active / sedentary hours then u can optimise the benefits even more . @@healthgroupcoachingDrRawatMD Your video is packed with tests and studies, but when you start telling us where the money is coming from in connection with these tests we can all feel better. In the past, Harvard provided information that is considered totally wrong these days. There is a huge mis-trust of the way these studies are provided to the public, and doctors have just parroted what they were told by big pharma. For example, stress causes stomach ulcers, debunked, it is a virus or germ that causes it. I found your video actually very good, but it is hard to believe the "tests" you quote without at least as much verbiage as to who conducted the tests and what biases they may have. "IF" your tests can be believed, I think your video is well done. Associating yourself with Harvard is not in my opinion such a positive thing these days. Show evidence, show the source and where the money is coming from and perhaps you can get better traction. One proper and unbiased test is all that is needed for a subject area in my opinion. I recommend you distance yourself from big pharma, especially US pharma and the hand full of global corporations that control the food supply of the world. The food pyramid, seed oils, on and on. .

you could restrict your eating window if you wish ( i recommend 10 hrs feeding & 14 hrs fasting window ) but it’s very unlikely you will be able to hit up to 1.6 gms/kg protein with just one meal…would need 2-3 meals plus possibly protein drink during exercise

Very informative and quite motivational in terms of remodeling our body and muscle gains. I was surprised to learn about the importance and functionality, dosage, and how not to worry if we mistakenly take it twice or forget to take it for a few days of vitamin D. Thanks!

The point is that when we look at food labels they tell us the calories if u burn the food to produce energy but food labels don’t tell us how much of it we will actually absorb. Eating a whole food diet ie avoiding ultra refined / processed food allows us to eat more but absorb fewer calories since the food matrix & fibre content reduce absorption of calories, fat & sugar 🤓
