Honestly I’m here for Christian metal lol. Your songs are so real. Now I love the other worship and praise songs, but judging from your songs, you guys are not ashamed. You guys tell truth in your songs
Imagine a collab cover of this between WATG & Ryan Clark from demon Hunter or Lacey Sturm. Like I’m picturing Ryan on some of the yelling lyrics and Lacey on some of the softer stuff

You guys: Eulogies was SOOO good. As a Christian metalhead I always supported you all, but Eulogies was the first album that I enjoyed front to back, top to bottom. Keep up THAT style.
Being an Atheist myself, I can appreciate entirely what the band's of this genre are saying....to a point. Wolves At The Gate are definitely right up at the top of my list in this area, not just because they sound so badass, but because they fit well within the definition of what Christian Metal really is. They're not out there preaching like a Sunday Mass or anything, but they bring a positive vibe to a type of music, any kind of metal or hard rock in general, that normally gets a bad reputation and are ALMOST ALWAYS seen as all being "the same". Well, "the same" they are not, and neither are most other bands that fall into all categories of true metal or any type of aggressive music. In a world so sick and twisted that I can't even watch the daily news anymore, bands like WATG pull my attention away from it and draw me in to what they have to say instead. Without bands like this, the world really would just be a living hell. Period.
This song is so good. I'm trying to learn it on the drums, slightly above my level at the moment. It's so heavy and beautiful at the same time. I actually think the heavy vocals is needed to oppose the clean singing, making the chorus hit sooo much harder. So good
So, I love this song and WATG. But what the heck was going on in this video?... It didnt even look or sound like he was playing the same song. It looked like he was playing something entirely different with this song layered over top of it. This was weird...
WATG is rhythm guitar heavy, and what we’re seeing here are the lead parts that sit really far back in the mix. So when the solo came and rhe leads were turned way up, I’m sure it looked proper to you, then, right? Same with the the chugging after the solo as well as the main riff. But during the verses and choruses you probably got lost because that lead part is so buried.
