Thank you for this wonderful video. I was thinking about just mowing down the wildflower meadow but this approach is so much better for the wildlife. I noticed some weeds creeping in, but I might leave them if they’re native. I’m thinking letting some dog fennel grow for the butterflies might be nice. 😍
At what point can we start to look for invasive weeds among the wildflowers? Like you said, early spring is too early because we don't want to uproot the germinating flower seeds.
I would recommend waiting until the wildflowers are bigger, have a deeper, stable root system, easier to identify and distinguish from invasive plants.
We received a question about the moth species Jim McCormac mentioned during the webinar as one of his favorite moths. At 1:00:38 Jim mentioned Bagisara gulnare, a rare noctuid moth. You can find more information about this moth and its host plant, the Glade Mallow, at Jim McCormac's blog. kb.jniplants.com/glade-mallow-napaea-dioica/
That bucket will be empty in less than one day. What's the point? If you want it dripping for several days then you need something much slower than that. I'm talking from experience. I had to purchase intravenous administration equipment to make that bucket drip for an entire week by slowing it enough.
That bucket won't even last for 15 minutes because the hole is to big. But as long as the water is penetrating trough the soil deep enough and not running too wide then its fine, because that is the whole point. For a tree you don't want the water to drip too slow because that will produce surface root which is not good because top soil dry very fast. You want to encourage deep root growth until the tree is strong enough without additional watering.
Tender breath keepers givers of life to these lungs may I open these ears and surrender, what can you tell me, how can I tend you, how can I tend to the ones that pour life into these lungs… Lyrics from Song Whispers from Alya Nereo Its a good day, headed to Hohenwald to pick up my new trees to plant.
These products are amazing! I have a cleaning company in Johnson City and we started trying these a few months ago after meeting one of the owners at a networking lunch. We have received amazing feedback from our clients and our cleaning technicians on how well it works. It is the only thing that I use in my own home now. We have recently made the full transition to using these cleaners in our residential homes.
Been using this product line for about a month now and I am sold! They dissolve nicely, clean better than any other eco friendly products I've tried-and I've been through quite a few over the years. The glass cleaner is my favorite-everything sparklers after using it 🌞 All the scents are wonderful-no chemical or medicinal smells.
Last spring I started a pollinator garden in containers since my yard has Bermuda grass in it. I have loved watching the butterflies, humming birds and bees and am looking forward to seeing more of them. I am definitely going to your web site to learn more about your program.
