Thank you for letting me know how to get rid of captions. I am not deaf but have always wanted to learn ASL. I do know the alphabet and a few signs. I watched your first 25 words video and I know that with practice I will be able to communicate in time. ASL is a beautiful language and should be offered to everyone as a foreign language class in school.👋
Can you not pause between the first letter and the rest of the word? It kind of throws off the overall shape of the word. Thanks for the practice video!

This video involves a lot of speaking. And if you use gestures, it makes it very confusing because I don’t know if you are signing or just moving your hands.
Are you teaching sign language with the hands for us to do or when we practice the signs we need to do with the left when you use your left and the right when you use the right hand? (Even though for us it would be the right if you are using your left hand since we are in front of you)
I I’m learning Portuguese rn and I wanted to learn 2 languages at the same time but didn’t want my brain mixing them up, so I chose ASL since my brain can’t really mix it up with a verbal language
What’s the difference in the last 2 signs at 3:50? I can’t find the difference in hand motions and I don’t understand how they’re both “depressed” but they’re different emotions. Could it be that one of them is an emotion while the other is more along the lines of “I have depression”?
I love these practice videos. I NEED the practice in receptive skills, especially with spelling. The deaf are SO FAST. I have a hard time discerning the letter O because you can’t see the shape from the front. It looks like an E. 🤷♀️
