The first thing you should consider is what kind of clients you want to serve. This is crucial because all your messaging and the offers you create will revolve around your target audience. Understanding their needs and preferences will help you tailor your services to meet their expectations. Next, set up your Google Business page and get reviews on it as quickly as possible. This establishes your online presence and builds credibility. Encourage satisfied clients to leave positive reviews, as this will attract more potential clients. By focusing on these two steps, you'll lay a strong foundation for your catering business. Good luck!
Nice guess, very close. Here is the breakdown: 4 Servers for 4 hours: $480 Food Costs: $550 Chef: $200 - (used my restaurant cook, lower cost than hiring a professional chef) Travel: $60 Total Cost: $1,290 Profit: $2,210, almost 60% profit. I didn’t cook; I just managed everything.
I'm running a family restaurant and we're planning to begin catering. Your videos have been very helpful! Do you have a comprehensive video on how to start catering and obtaining our initial customers? Many thanks

Great question: It's hard to see the description on a mobile phone. Here is the advice: The worst marketing advice I ever heard for caterers: "You don't need a website; social media and word of mouth are enough." 🚫. Schedule a Free Coaching Session with me at www.alshanmarketing.com/ Thinking a website is unnecessary for your catering business? Wrong! Discover why social media alone won't cut it and learn how a website can attract more clients, boost your credibility, and fuel your catering business growth. Relying solely on social media and word of mouth is a huge mistake! Here’s why: Lack of Control: Social media platforms can change their algorithms or policies at any time, affecting your reach and visibility. Limited Information: A website allows you to sell your services in a well structured optimized manner to persuade your audience. Professionalism: A well-designed website builds credibility and shows that you’re serious about your business. SEO Benefits: A website optimized for search engines attracts organic traffic and potential clients looking for your services. Scalability: Marketing through multiple channels, including your website, ensures you reach a broader audience and aren’t dependent on just one source. Don’t fall for this bad advice. Invest in a professional website and a comprehensive marketing strategy to truly grow your catering business! 🌐📈

Good job AI Shan 👍 I've watched 2 of your videos, and I must say, your contents are very much helpful. Like, I so much love them ❤️ Can you create a content on this? ⤵️ Content idea (question): How are you collecting customers details to market to, such as email address? Is there any software out there to help with this? Do you have any existing strategy on how to market your restaurant to new and existing customers? The content (what to talk about): "You can talk about the struggles food business owners face in finding their ideal customers. Explain how collecting customer data helps with targeted marketing, boosting sales, and building relationships. Thanks for sharing, I'm from Cambodia. I will run my first catering in next few months for 200 people, they are Chinese. They order 3 menus per times, 2 must have meat and 1 is vegetable. So what tray I should use ? and How to calculation food for one person with 3 menus of food? Thanks you
@@cambodialocallife8462 Okay great, if this was my job I would provide 3 Full Pans Rice, 3 Full Pans Noodles, 6 Full Pans Protein, 3 Full Pans Vegetables. But I would have servers to serve the buffet line to ensure people don't take too much food and waste it. People's eyes are usually bigger than their stomachs. I always tell the guests you can come back for seconds.

Congratulations! For Indian food, it would basically be the same thing. If you are feeding 20 people, for example, and there is rice and some sort of protein. You would simply use a Medium Full Pan for the rice and another Medium Full Pan for the Protein. If you like, give me an example, and I will try to help you figure it out.
