So while I LOVE this idea and have tossed it around, my biggest concern is that having it in the shower makes the shower unusable when it’s in there. So now where do you take a shower? Is it a hassle to pull out every time you want to shower and where do you put while showering? This is the main reason I think my hubby would be totally against us having one. 😬
Since this was 4 years ago, how has it held up. Have you had to replace it yet and if so what model did you go with next? Any suggestions to make it easier?
Avoid Midland like plague. I am so incredibly sick and tired of corporations either being stupid and simply not caring about customers or deliberately ripping customers off in the hope that they keep something instead of taking it back. I purchased this set this evening and get extra batteries for times we wouldn’t be able to recharge the battery pack. The package clearly has FRS AND GMRS and AA Batteries. I open the package and it’s just FRS and uses it’s little rechargeable battery pack and AAA Batteries. How did they get BOTH pieces of information incorrect? This is ridiculous. Lesson learned about Midland! When I purchase GMRS it will be Kenwood or Motorola. If Midland can’t get this right, why trust them?
and thay tell you 30 miles but do not tell you how to do it and that you all so need a license becouse thay don't care SELL SELL SELL that is all rugged radio for me gave me everything I needed for my radio and thay build them so thay know them inside out yes there 150.00 each on hand held but no dum buttons as we do not use them on the G M R S side.
@@donalderickson-si8ww You’re not getting 30 miles out of FRS unless you have excellent radios and you’re in the desert. Period. And that’s theoretical to me because I’ve never been in the desert. Perhaps over water as well. Solid FRS Radios excel when you need really clear communications up to maybe 300 yards, +/- 50Yds in the suburbs. GMRS, after the initial cost of the equipment, is one of the best deals the government has. On anything. Your entire family has a no test license for 10 years for $35.00 and I’m amazed it’s not $350.00 for 5 years or some similar scam.
OR YOU can avoid all the junk and go rugged radio you get a F R S with nodummie buttons and you get G M R S and a tec. to call when something goes wrong as He built it
we are planning to be in that area in August this year. having a really hard time deciding between the two parks. Love being out in the quiet, but also love the idea of being closer to the visitor center and town. Great video! Thanks so much!
I don't understand why anyone would do this to other than a stationary park model? 1st time you have to hit the brakes hard on the highway you'll understand why the booth was secured so well as loose chairs come tumbling towards the windshield.
There were only 2 in the left area. We kept them there because they were the perfect width of the Ikea table we placed in the area. We attached L brackets to the table legs and then bolted it to the floor while we were moving
Thank you for the video. I am planning on purchasing a class A motorhome upon retirement in a couple years. I don't even own a motorhome yet and already know that the dinette is the first "upgrade" I will do! So much more space for living and to be honest, a nice t.v. tray will work just as well for my wife and myself.
So how is the table working out for you. I see you have the dog crate in the spot. If the table is working for you great. But if it not. You could mount the dog crate permanently in that spot. Then build a folding table over the top of the crates. it so you can flip . The main table would stay on the dog crate and the hinged part would flip over to still seat you.
We found ours at a local store called Bargains and Buyouts. Any will do, if you're replacing the one in your camper just be sure you can remove the supporting legs. Thanks for watching!
In many campgrounds any used water is deemed grey regardless of how biodegradable the soap is. We recommend to always dispose of used water in the proper drain.
Thank you as this is great info. My wife and I have been full time since May 2021 and have considered work camping and your video was helpful for me to better understand
