Ok this was painful to sit through and read... Hun, couple of tips: Maybe add a text to speech, or considering making bigger panels and a faster rate... i had to watch this at 2x speed so i could read through and still was painful... And there is so much padding and yadda yadda that makes it dificult to stay invested... i just wanted to click off Now, here is a personal drop of wisdom. Take as you want. I'm an OG vanilla player. As in, i been playing since 2004. And let me tell you something... if there's one thing i know for sure, and the reazon i would never touch pirate servers, or classic, or hardcore, sod, whatever you name it... Is that those are FLEETING experiences. No matter how much people say they love classic, or they love hardcore, or they love SoD... the only people that do actualy enjoy and stay playing those, are people that can do without get any attachment to their characters. They could not care less if their characters disappear over night and have to start from zero, or if they themselves abandon them to start the new shinny whatever, server, season, mode... I have been playing my first world of warcraft Character since 2004. That character, i did log in today, in the same server i started, to do the raid. And lots of my friends have quit, some have came back... In way, is just like life you know? People comes and go... but regardless, you go on.
I agree on the investment part. In the past, before Cata, I loved the fact that achievements, toys, mounts and all that were character-only. Made you love and cherish the character who've got them. After they made all of that account-wide, it all changed forever. Sadly as you called it 'fleeting experience' is what devs themselves see this game to be and this is how it is designed ever since. A whole bunch of fleeting experiences. A raid and all of the gear you've got from it becomes irrelevant the next major patch. It's been for years like this, and I suppose majority of the game's current player base have accepted and enjoy this treatment of progression. Otherwise they wouldn't be playing, I suppose. What held me in retail WoW was mostly the roleplay. Without it I'd quit long ago by myself. Now, as for your criticism... I thank you for it, but none of your points are valid for me. I've designed the length and size of the chat boxes according to what I personally find enjoyable to read. I'm a slow reader so I measured the time they stay on screen judging by how long it takes for me to read them. I tried to make them larger in the sense of containing 3-4 sentences. But that lead to my eyes being forced to glue to the chat box instead of seeing the rest of the screen. With my current chat boxes and the length of them staying on screen, you can read the text quickly and enjoy the gameplay/scenery/whatever I choose to show to you. The video itself is not meant to be a thrilling high pace ride. By the way, I tried to watch it on x2 and... yeah, I dunno how you can find enjoyment from that. The audio and music turns into unlistenable mess. I've spent a lot of time picking the right tracks, you know? You're meant to listen to them while reading the story. I like slow pace of narrative in general. I love slow scenes of dialogue in action films. It's just how I am - I've found my pace and I'll stick to it. I always found jokes about younger generation having ADHD mostly as just that - jokes. But... according to your comment, perhaps there's some truth in them. Sometimes it's fine to just relax, sit back and to take things without a rush. As for TTS... I'm been thinking about it. But so far I couldn't find a good program which doesn't also demand payment per 1k words or something. I want to remind, by the way, that I can't pay for any foreign services anymore. For the same reason I can't pay for WoW sub. And of course nobody will ever hear my real voice. I hate it myself and I'm not subjecting anyone to the nightmare of it. In conclusion, an advice.. If you don't enjoy watching a video and feel like clicking off - do that. Perhaps my content just isn't for you.
Amazing video. They think taking away entertainment from russians will cause them to revolt. Well they will revolt, but not against the russian government. Against the Hypocritical west.

i know your pain, i played wow for years, then they decided to ban multiboxing software claiming it was to control bots... the bots are more prevalent than they have ever been. a waste of my time and effort, i will never enjoy another blizzard game based on the fact i cant trust they wont take my money for 5 subs and then say sorry you cant play... sad company.
@@DMPSITIDS yes, the only reason i played is because i was able to play alone, play my own way, they now say you will play this char, this way and only this way, if you deviate from the course they set, you are 100% guaranteed to fail unless by some chance you manage to get carried through most of the game at which point you may as well play gw2.
Sorry for what happened to you. It's hard to lose access to something so important, so abruptly. You know, there are some really good private servers out there. Turtle wow as a large population and a strong RP community. Project Epoch is shaping to be something really special when it release. You are not under any obligation to pay Blizzard anything to enjoy the universe they changed so much, and now that I've seen your video I understand better why there are so much russians players there. The adventure was long and difficult, but I'm confident you would have done it. Brave of you to want to attempt Stratholme on Hardcore! You stopped, but you didn't lose. Congratulations for making it this far.
Thank you! Yeah I was considering private servers. The problem is... what usually holds a person in an MMO are other people, guild and friends. And the guild I'm in for already many years is still there, still active. My friends still play. If i go to a private server it would be a fresh start from scratch. It just doesn't feel like something I want to go through at the moment. We'll see how things go. It's possible that eventually sanctions will drop and we'll get back to norm. I want to play WoW officially. I'm used to it and there are people who I know. And if not... Well, I feel free now. I've got plans for other games, for example I want to continue making stuff for Elden ring. I had a huge in-character playthrough that I've stopped a couple of years ago because I wanted to wait for DLC, to get the full lore picture. Not only I want to continue it, I actually strongly consider rebooting it, making it 100 times better.
This is a story all too familiar...though, I have found a new Home among Eorzea and the Warriors of Light. Perhaps if time and opportunity allows you could view what things are like in FF14? I can promise, at least, the story is a fantastic ride from start to finish.
FF14 is in my sights, but it's a low priority. Elden ring DLC is my main target now, and after it I want to try V-rising. Ooor to do another Conan exiles playthrough. Gladly I have things to do. It's just sad I can't play with my WoW pals.
It's absolutely disgusting how Blizzard and many other companies throughout the West have done to punish everyday people like you that didn't directly contribute to what your politicians have chosen. A lunacy level of virtue signaling where you people are being labeled as being figurative "orcs" and "ghouls" just for being born in a country that happens to be on the opposing side of a conflict. Have you tried looking into playing on Private Servers, by any chance? There is Turtle WoW, sort of a "classic plus" RP-PvE server on the original vanilla 1.12 client ran by Russians and a lot of Russians play there, although it's an international server with the server's enforced language being English and played by thousands of people globally. There's a strong RP scene there and while the server is PvE, there is an active World PvP community with multiple guilds taking part in RP-PvP events and such. It's a shame that Blizzard came to this. An absolute joke of a company, a shell of it's former self, yet it sits on one of the most beloved and important video game IPs, which means a lot to so many people in so many different ways.
What moment in your journey did you feel was the closest call with death? If there was ever a danger or a foe that would have bested Miradel, what would it have been?
@@buckelorc It wasn't one of those moments when i felt in danger, but yes, I've dropped the first fight with Trey (Mid of Ep13) because I was afraid of the respawns. I didn't have any CDs and pots, but I could beat him by simply kiting him and bandaging. Respawns would easily put an end to that. So I bailed and regrouped.

Mobs respawn terribly fast in that area and I knew that if I try to run I'll most likely run into someone. Plus some of them can use net. I knew that trying again would just be teasing fate so I never did.
@@darksh1ne1 It sounds like you know this game inside and out! Have you ever lost a hardcore character before? Everyone I've known who's tried that mode has done so at least once, no matter how good they are.

(I kinda forgot about it during making of this final video, so I didn't even count that one) And finally there was another Miradel who perished in Westfall to the Defias pillagers at lvl 15. And yeah I know Classic questing really well, simply because I did this so many times in the past ^^ The end game is not as clear to me, I mostly explored it in TBC and Wrath while farming those mats for the Insane achievement, mounts and other stuff.

I could, I was thinking about that. But I just don't want to bother anymore. I hate Blizzard too much to keep playing right now. The only thing that would make me reconsider is a personal letter from Blizzard with apology and several years of pre-payed sub as compensation. I'm joking of course. I'm just tired trying to fight the system. I'll just play something that doesn't involve that (which is ironically every other game in existence)
Feel sorry you. It's always the little man that has to suffer. I wouldn't be surprised if your assumption is spot on, afterall Blizzard stopped being the good company it once was a long time ago.
I've watched Blizzard presentations throughout these years. They're oozing with politics and 'current thing', so I wouldn't be surprised that the truth is - some pro-Ukraine employee stirred up a fuss about "Those pesky Russian players are still playing the game! They should be on the streets protesting" or something, and pushed for the closer of gifts. I truly see no other reason why they would do that. They wonder why their numbers are getting low while losing entire countries worth of players. China, Russia - both were HUGE part of playerbase. Now fully gone.
Completely other side of the planet here in Canada and I feel you. RP-PvP was in fact peak WoW. Just running around Azeroth as a patrol of orcs, trolls and tauren killing people we came across while completely in character, and opposing RP-PvP guilds dressed in Stormwind Guard uniforms showing up and having epic battles in the Arathi highlands or Ashenvale for hours. Level 70s and 80s wearing the most random low level gear because it was RP gear and transmog didn't exist yet. People standing in lines like actual soldiers, doing /salute. Stuff like that was so fun, and then eventually kicking back in a bar in Stormwind or Silvermoon City doing more casual RP with the guildies and random players, telling random taverngoers our stories of valor. I miss those days.
@@darksh1ne1 Yeah, I've played on Moon Guard, the American equivalent of Argent Dawn EU. On the internet we'd always hear stories about how both of our servers were really similar despite being inaccessible to the other, similar population, similar goldshire, similar guilds and events, and both kind of became THE major RP servers as the other RP servers kind of died.

Heya, I'm a new follower and a Ravenholdt RPer as well! I started in MoP, well after the community had fallen apart. I could tell from looking at the old server forums and guild websites that it used to be something awesome and that feeling kept me engaged with the last few RH guilds still RPing. I spent time in Order of the Forsaken and Twilight Empire specifically. Eventually RH merged with Twisting Nether and it revitalized the RP scene for a while. The server is sadly still barren and overtaken by other servers' populations, but it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Interesting! Hmm, I've only played on Ravenholdt in TBC/Wrath. After that I went on a 3-year break from WoW, and after returning instantly migrated to Argent Dawn. (Gonna expand on that in the final episode) From there I've no knowledge of Ravenholdt's fate. It's so wild to think just how much one single change can completely eradicate entire server's community...
My guess on why the TTS in the high Lvl areas are bugged is because there aren't many that get far enough to expierences those and that makes them low priority for fixing.
You could be right. But I'm pretty sure there are some pretty bad examples from low lvls too. Just search Thrall TTS for example, you'll thank me XD. I guess the creators simply got tired of working on this. After all, there are thousands of quests in Classic, and the interest to it is already not that high.

34:10 I couldn't agree more. They turned "The Light" from an inexplicable manifestation of faith and willpower into a bunch of incompitant floating lamps who get the munchies for souls every century or so. My Paladin went from being a holy badass warrior powered by zeal and willpower into an errand boy for a bunch of windchimes.
25:48 Speaking as a Paladin, it beats being expected to die heroically for others at the drop of a hat and having your order get routinely decimated to showcase how 'tragic and stoic' we are (sarcasm). What's you're opinion of Paladins? (Hopefully not as lame as Shamans).
Always loved them. In TBC one of my mains was the paladin (Blood elf). And it would probably stay that way if night elves or void elves could be paladins too (I switched to Alliance at some point, but no race that I wanted to play there can be a paladin) At those time (TBC, Wrath) I liked the lore behind Naaru, as they still remained something mysterious and unknown. They could be physical manifestation of angels or something. And the idea that blood elves captured one and sap its power to use for their own needs seemed pretty cool. Sadly now we know everything... and that's such a bad worldbuilding move.
@@darksh1ne1 Totally. The reveal that the N'aaru the Blood Elves snagged actually LET itself be captured floored me when I first found out. It's too bad Blizzard took all that mystique and threw it out the window. It's been said that the less you see of a monster and the less you understand it, the more horrifying it is. I never would have guessed that the same principle would work in reverse regarding my admiration for an otherworldly benefactor.
@@Antidragon-nl7by As a huge fan of worldbuilding myself, I value the mystery a lot. There are subjects that are, unless they're the entire focus of the story, better be left alone. The subject of what happens after death is one of them. To me at least. Maybe there are people who like when everything is overexplained and chewed for them. I don't like that. Mostly because it creates all kind of logical questions that, if if you begin to try to find answers to, would ruin the whole setting pretty quickly. Because usually there are no satisfying answers :/
I was so scared one of them would resist or I hit someone by mistake. In fact my character swings, you can see it. But gladly doesn't break fear. There's a safe spot though, you can jump down to the right side (if you look at the boss from the side you come from), there is a ledge where they'll not follow you. But still, it would mean running a long way around back.
