"well it's not like anyone else will want to got out with you, is it?" typical weapon of the abusive. to make you think that they're the only person you can be wiht.
this is so emotional and heartfelt, but i had to laugh when he's like "it's called bisexuality, if you've heard of that" and then his mom is like "yes i have heard of BISEXUALITY thx you think i'm that uncool son"
I respect those who are this confident in their beliefs. My beliefs are different. A shrink once told me, "there is no such thing as bisexuality." But I believe it paradoxical if one is a member of the Community (as he is). That's like saying, "I'm a scientist, but I don't believe in physics." For me, it's plausible that one can have an emotional attraction to X, and a sexual attraction to Y -- and/or visa versa simultaneously.
I don't know why it's so hard for Robert's dad to understand that they might own the tapes but they don’t own the magic on the tapes.......there's a record deal at stake FFS!
he wasn't in a relationship at the beginning of the season 1 and had the girl trying to get with him but he didn't have the time of day for her. I don't believe in bisexuals anyway
That's because by the time we meet him the only person he's romantically interested in in *general* is Charlie, so yeah he wouldn't exactly be considering pursuing anything with any girls, OR other boys than Charlie :) But that doesn't take away from his bisexuality at all! People can be bi and know they're bi without having literally dated multiple people of different genders.
It’s funny how Rue exposed Cassie while she was extremely high 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cassie made it too obvious that she was banging Nate. She didn’t even get defensive or stood up for herself she gave herself away with the nervous laughing and stuttering words 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The use of color is EXTREMELY important in this show. It's everywhere, from specific pride flag colors in lighting to the characters themselves. Nick's wardrobe is color coded to be primarily blue/navy throughout the first season, and Charlie's color is orange/yellow. Their both opposing colors on the spectrum... but they also compliment each other. In fact, the umbrella in the rain scene was split between orange yellow and navy blue. That was when Nick decided he wanted to be with Charlie but stay closeted until he was more confident. In this scene... the scene where he comes out to family, he's wearing a bright orange shirt and bright blue jean shorts. He's not just hiding under an umbrella anymore. He's embraced who he is and puts it on full display.
Thirty years from now, this gonna be one of those series where people are like, "How have I never heard of this??" I adore Tales From the Loop, but I can list on one hand how many people I know who have even heard of it.
I agree. This is one of Amazon's first series, and it never really got the kind of marketing that many of their series' get now. TBH, I don't know how I even found it... recommendation from their app, likely. It's a hidden gem.
