I stayed there for 2 nights back in the summer of 1996! 2 guys owned it then - I can’t remember their names but they were cool. One of them had a vintage motorcycle collection. Beautiful house.
Once again, this trail is in danger of being bulldozed for the profits of politicians. I hope that West Virginians will join together to protect this beautiful trail, as Alice Knight once did. Let’s not put profits before nature or people. This trail is a memorial for the family and remembrance of Alice Knight and must be protected.
There are mounds of rocks all over the surrounding hills where the grapes were grown. In my own time, there was a visible house seat up behind the lake on a knoll.
A friend of mine who had a Bigfoot experience outside of Weston WV took me to the Ohio Conference. We met and had beers with Bobo, Jeff Meldrum and Cliff Barackmen. I have had some rocks thrown at me in Kanawha State Forest near Charleston and found some large prints as a teenager. We are going to put on the first West Virginia Bigfoot Conference at Adventures on the Gorge next June.

Great time and had a BFRO person take us out in the woods in Ohio at night. We had some calls back. It was a crazy night. I fish the New River alot and would like to find some other areas to hike in the Gorge area and Sandstone not know to me.
