This Ozark Trail 50L flashlight is perfect for my needs for looking at electronic pcbs and I found that I can substitute the battery holder with a rechargeable 18650 Lithium ion battery that works well just wind some tape around it so it feels snug.
I got the AirPods Pro 2 and while I would probably not use them at a job site and definitely not with an Android phone, I found them to be shockingly good, especially when I upgraded the eartips to Azla brand. The sound quality and noice cancelling ability is very very good.
I bought a bugout cloan, but it doesnt say benchmade, the company is HUAAO, obviously chinese, it says D2, but im really impressed with it. I glued several terracotta pots back together using gorilla glue, n GG foams out the side when it cures. I used this knife to scrape it clean n it was grinding on the inperfectly lined up edges. I thought this blade is done, but i ran my finger along the edge n there wasnt a single ding or anything i could feel or see. Its super light weight, n the blade is thin, but no thumb stud, so i thought id drill a hole in it, n put a thumb stud from a broken knife on it. I thought id drill right thru it. It took like 45 min to get thru it, and wrecked 3 Milwaukee drill bits, and broke 4 dimond coated Dremel bits before i got thru it. So for the price, its actually a really good knife. Ive cut a bunch of stuff with n its still as sharp as day one.
Ya the benchmade bugout is their best selling knife, its kinda the industry standard for premium edc folding knives. My box said bugout as well, even tho it was the mini ruckus.
It's suppose to be s30v, not 530v. But Its definitely not s30v, obviously, cuz it was like $12. It would cost more for just a blade size piece of s30v than $12. But I was wondering if u knew what kind of steel it really is? I was hoping it was at least like D2....? Do u have any idea what it's actually made of? I just got mine in the mail today, I had a few beers when I ordered it, n completely forgot that I ordered it. I ordered it almost 2 months ago. But n e way I'm trying to get some info about it n found your video. So if u have any clue what blade steel it is, please respond to this, I think I'll get a notification if u respond to this comment, but again, not 100% sure. N let me know how it's holding up now after a year or two, I think this vid was from 2022? Either way, hope u have a good day, thanks for the review.
No I’m not sure at all what it’s made of. At this point it could be anything and they could put whatever they want to out on it and there’s just no Way for us to find out for sure. It is what it is I guess. That’s what comes with clones unfortunately.

Yeah I can agree with that one I guess lol. But at least I’m not out any real money with this knife. I didn’t have any kind of expectations for it at that price though.
sharp out of the box is not an issue to me even it they are sharp out of the box they are almost never symmetrical and I sharpen them anyway ! I recommend clones ( that are made well ,I don't like the band thing but I don't like being ripped off more ) ! benchmade is a customer disloyal company , with their stupid high prices for no real reason butt greed, most all production knives are made with Chinese cnc machines ( even the so called American made ) and they are not that expensive to make ( benchmade does not pass the saving to their customers, like a customer loyal company would ) and the steel lie-hype is just fraudulent ( even knife guys can hardly tell the difference without labels ) ! I don't sell knives ! I buy clones of stupid high priced knives ( like the 945 gold class $700.00 ,the clone is $40.00 very well made ,even a knife guy could not tell the difference ) ,tune them and gift them to people ,I tell them it is a clone of a stupid high priced knife so don't worry about thrashing it and tell me how it works for them ( I think everyone should have a good knife !) a lot of times people like them so much they save up and buy the so call real knife ( they are both made the same way with the same Chinese cnc machines )! I have what I call a living collection !
Awesome vid man ive received my eva tac 3 days ago just paid shipping thats it the knife is friggin awesome imo do you already have a vid on the go bold zt knife ?
Jens Williamson, III (Deaf) I have one. Not bad! I use it in Dome Tent or My Chevy S10 pickup with ARE Hard Shell Camper or Deer Blind. Just Right! You will know. Okay! Thanks for your time. Have a great day! Respectfully, Jens C. Williamson, III 😎😷👍🇺🇲 Bexar County 🇨🇱 Retired ID Hearing Impaired OASDI and The Disability ✅✅ (Approved) 50 L is better than 15 or 25 L. Lol 😂 Thumb up! or Not Thumb down! 👍 Better than Nothing!
Jens Williamson, III (Deaf) I own 2,000 Lumens (Flashlight/Lantern) like 2 in 1 under Ozark Trail. It is perfect for Camping and Hunting. No Batteries... How about Rechargeable. I love it. Clever Idea! Where to buy: Walmart. I am very happy. Envy? You will know. Okay! Thanks for your time. Have a great day! Respectfully, Jens C. Williamson, III 😎😷👍🇺🇲 Bexar County 🇨🇱 Retired ID Hearing Impaired OASDI and The Disability ✅✅ (Approved) I am the best. Maybe your mouths will drop? 😮 I love W E S T.
ozark trail is walmarts outdoor brand. inexpensive but decent quality. i have a 150L from like 10 years ago. dropped it a bunch of times, still going strong. i like how simple they are. press a button and get light. no strobe, sos, low, med, high, turbo, bat signal, rave, b.s. although i do have a couple expensive lights that do. maybe review some low cost amazon flashlights for us. see if they are low cost gems or junk. great hair btw!
Lol thanks my wife calls it my lions mane. And I agree completely. For its price and how simple and easy it is to use and work with, you can’t go wrong.
Im not a fan of D2. I know people that D2 thats amazing. In my experience its brittle. My most important thing for a knife is toughness. I don't care about corrosion. That's only for people that don't use their stuff. Used tools don't rust. Ask any mechanic how many rusty wrenchs he has? I want easy to sharpen and reasonable edge retention. I love 14c28n. Aus10, xhp that's what i own mostly with a few 8cr, vg10 and Aus8 on the side. The top 3 are my favorites. Ive had the super steels m390, s35vn not impressed Im still waiting to find out about magna cut. Can't justify the price just to try the latest gimmick.
I feel very similar to what you are saying. A knife that can withstand is way more important to me. I’ll start looking into knives with some of the steels you mentioned and I’ll look at magna cut. That one is new to me. Thank you for the input I appreciate it.
great choice, this was my first PF fish knife as well. The PF Scholar is probably my favorite they do. Fantastic value even at $70, like a super straight razor lol.
I didn’t do the follow up video on it but the knife actually broke on me in normal use. I still have to record the follow up and will as some point. It was a great knife up and until that point.
I paid for mine lol. I got a whole bunch of them and gave them as Christmas gifs. I am trying to figure out the first message though with the time at 12 seconds and the emojis?
I don't want to give you more crap but it's really a spear point not a drop point because it's symmetrical. Do more PF believe me they get a lot better. Ok so you are likeable you talk well and i say keep going be a bit more energetic you may have what it takes to get big.
Fair enough and no worries there’s always room for improvements and any constructive criticism helps towards the ultimate goal which is hopefully running the channel full time lol
That's not a clone. That's a counterfeit. It's not a design copy but a complete ripoff down to trademarks and logo. A clone without the Butterfly logo is morally questionable, the counterfeit is morally indefensible.
Maybe if I get to the point where I can monetize my videos I’ll start buying and testing knives again. That got real expensive real quick and i’ve got diapers and baby stuff to buy these days lol. But I will keep that in mind for sure
I just uploaded a short on it. Essentially that release can get stuck I found out much later after making the videos and using the knives. Not on all of them just one of the EvaTacs I used. But essentially the video is an explanation on how I got my back to working order. Sorry if I sound tired in it. I have a seven day old new born and am exhausted.
That’s my edc work flashlight. It’s a great light. Nice tint, doesn’t wash out greens and blues like the cheap blue/white leds. Strong clip that has never let me down. Doesn’t drain batteries too fast. Nice tight spot that reaches a good distance. Only negative is the rubber on the tailcap doesn’t last very long before it rips and falls off. Minor problem but it happens. Other than that, best 2 AAA penlight for the money and it has a lifetime warranty. I returned mine for the rubber falling off but now I just tape it. I have 3/4 of these. They are perfect for my job.
I own two of these Clones in different handle materials. One is my edc work knife. The still is soft but is easy to sharpen and doesn’t chip. I prefer a soft steel for my work knives because if I abuse them, the edge just rolls rather than chips. A dent or roll can be fixed. Snapping a tip off or chipping the edge means grinding down the blade or throwing it away. Learn to sharpen knives. You are a full grown man and it’s not difficult. Or buy a Worksharp or Lanskey or other sharpening aid. You don’t need a razor sharp mirror edge for a work knife. You do need to be able to get a dull knife sharp enough to cut paper. Use a piece of paper as a guide. Once your edge will slice paper without hanging up, that’s good enough for work.
This knife is a banger for $30 👍. I got the spydie hole version and the springs are solid . Not like a crap clone . The blade came with a nice low sharp bevel too . On Amazon , the jeabrother nymble is a good one too for $80
Just picked one up from Amazon for under $30. Not disappointed at all. Is it actually D2 and are those scales actually G10? Maybe, but for the price, who cares. The blade came centered better than some of my real BM knives! :-) Considering the BM version costs around 9 times that (all BM prices are *insane* right now!) it's a perfect beater knife without breaking the bank. I like the fact the blade is sterile too, so there's no chance of passing it off as a legit BM on the secondary market.
You did not try to fold the knife. I agree with your review, EXCEPT my knife will NOT FOLD. I tried pulling on the bottom guard, tried to push back on the big rivet on the side- does not move, I pushed on the blade I even inserted a lever to move the guard over- Nothing works. I now have a straight nonfolding knife. I tried contacting EVOTAC, The phone number on the website directs you to go online for help. I went online and left a message. Evotac did, did reply within 24 hours, HOWEVER, thef PDF files were bogus. Does this company still exist? Reco8rding on phone, pdf files that windows says do not exist. Do NOT waste your money!!!!!
I have the real Bugout and they're flimsy there too. I even break the scales in a RU-vid vid as well. I think the steel on these isn't going to be the same as a real one but for what 99% of knife people use, this would be more than adequate and beyond spectacular for the price paid. These clones are very good. And often the reasons they are able to make them this exact is that they have the actual schematics. Where they had to cut corners was the heat treat and the actual steel used.
@@ThePhillibusterMedia the knife failed to open a few times. I’m curious about the detent. Is it too loose that it fails or you’re not using the flipper with enough force. The blade should fire open without any wrist flick
Oh I gotcha. I was most likely not flipping it hard enough. The knife took some working though to get it all smooth. I actually need to do the follow up. It did not fair well over the last six weeks. I have just been working too much to get time to make the video. Hoping to get some time this weekend for the update.
