Some years ago while I was assisting in a demonstration of Civil War medical instruments at a reenactment: 1 man if the far back corner caught my attention of some reason. It was when he spoke up I realized why; his comment " those look like the medical instruments in the tunnels." Understand that medical instruments were CRUDE compared to today. Wood was a large component in the manufacture...wood, of course, can't be sterilized.

Going there mid may- staying close by at a resort, going solo any tip for a solo traveler? And is the bus easy to use? Thinking going to do my own cooking some night is it easy getting grocery in the area?
