Greeting ghouls and ghosts! Our names are Jason and Kali, and we are the horror couple of your dreams- or nightmares! Jason has been a film nut for over 30 years, and Kali has a hyper-fixation with horror and slashers. Together we spend most of our waking life watching films and obsessing over them. We record movie reviews and discussions weekly, and love watching and talking about both lesser known and popular films in the horror genre. Occasionally we also review comic books, video games, television series, and novels. Additionally, we also enjoy making short horror videos. Thanks for checking out our channel, and if you like our content please subscribe!
As much as I like Tubi most of the Tubi originals don't really interest me. That doesn't mean they are bad but I'm just not drawn towards a lot of the Tubi originals
Had to stop and watch again because it was so unsettling. Horror movies that are wrapped under social commentary and realism is chef's kiss. What do you think the beings moving in that direction symbolize?
I guess I'd feel more horrified if i didnt see decapitated kids in my twitter feed. Its a depressing film, and has some good tension, but I don't see why people find it as more upsetting than other movies.
Idk why so many reviewers are saying they hate men more after this movie. Everyone forgetting about Fred? He’s the hero of the movie. He reps more men than any other caricature. The movie does really good making monsters of both genders. Both have lessons to learn from each other and themselves.
Big fan of this as well. Some gnarly and uncomfortable moments, which is why we're here. The mom cackling with glee in the kitchen positively infuriated me. Very well done.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 ask yourself this. Why does Cecila care they were teased for be girly….if they were girl. You see this movie is a nod to Sissy Hypno, a form of fringe therapy some trans women use to cope with having a traumatic life by recontextualiseing past insults (being called sissy) into affirmations. Also the movie is filled with references to the trans community any subliminal imagery like the “are you watching me pee” remark that guy makes or the cow kigu at the beginning (young transwomen tend to pretend they have cow udders instead of male parts, its a thing). Btw the whole story is meant to be YOUR (you the viewers) therapeutic meditative session, thats the point of the ending
Huge cat person! Animals rule and most people suck these days. Looking forward to checking this out. Did you ever think of the name of the other movie with the couple in the apartment?
Dudei wish I could get my hour and 18 mins back it was so dull to me . I do try to give and reasonable view point to almost anything but this...... Was boring
Grabbing theater tickets for this one. And, yeah, this has been one hell of a banger of a year for horror! Plus We have yet to get the windfall of genre fare October undoubtably brings. Then we close out the year and succumb to the darkness with Nosferatu this Christmas! 2024 will be one for the books.
Bro you’re such a dick to her 💀 dismissing every one of her opinions on the movie saying shit like I don’t care etc and then embellishing about how gorgeous Sam is Uhhhh maybe try empathizing with her
Interesting take on it for sure. I would ask though, are you sure you thought the clown was over used in the third? I just rewatched it and most the “scares” (quotes because the third movie wasn’t actually scary) were caused by ghosts of previous victims showing up, and an angel moving about. Clown wasn’t really in much of it. I am a huge fan of the series though so maybe I just have those goggles on.
In Hebrew & Islam, which at one time were the same religion, Azrael was the son of Enoch, & is the angel of death, &, like Abbadon, can be benevolent or malevolent.I saw him once, in 1969, & It saved my life from something worse than death that was about to happen in my household.
Just watched it and I’m surprised of the decency in this film, 4 stars of 5, some of the effects are a little too much but the story is well delivered. #Suscribed
As a huge TLOU fan who absolutely loves both games Part 1 and 2 both masterpieces it's one of my favorite gaming series these games mean so much to me. This trailer I got goosebumps all over it looks wonderful I recognize so much from the 2nd game. Also Abby became one of my favorite characters hopefully they do her story justice. I cannot wait!!! Also I know the creators have said they plan on doing Part 2's story like breaking it up and telling it in 2 or 3 seasons since Part 2's story is so much bigger and complex. And Season 2 is only gonna be 7 episodes so I'm very curious on where the stopping point is gonna be for the end of season 2 I have a few different story moments in my head of where a logical stopping point would be and make sense, but I'm fully expecting a huge impactful cliffhanger for the season 2 ending. Anyways wonderful reaction thank you both cheers.
You are definitely in the cool club now ❤️ haha. I always know if someone is my kinda person by their opinion on the last of us part 2. I think the season will end with the BIG moment, but I also see that as a huge risk cause so many people will hate that.
Exactly, like a lean cut of meat. Needs some fat on it for more flavor. All themes are great but I wanted more context to the overall goal of the clan that wants to use her as the sacrifice and the ending was cool. I wonder if the creatures were guiding her to the role she would play. Also, was it explained why she smiled at the end?
Darren Mcgavin was actually the lead in Kolchak: The Night Stalker movies and tv series which The X Files was completely inspired by. I loved this episode because of that reason. He's like the original Mulder.
I haven’t even watched the review, but I’m running to Tubi to watch it. I’ve been waiting for this for what seems like forever. I know, it hasn’t been. 🤗
I believe that is the issue with every streaming company. when they start to release original content, they release a lot of garbage and then they start to release less movies with more flavors and more bones & meat. unless that company is Netflix which keeps the quantity over quality image.
in a film festival they had the premiere of another Tubi original. Don't mess with grandma. it is an action-comedy home invasion film starring Michael Jay White. it was way better than anyone could expect it to be.
