Can you please suggest best lens for Can EOS R Camera 🎥 ? and I’m currently using default one 24-105mm f/4-7.1 Lens (3075C032) ,so, I would like to buy some advanced lens for this Camera, please suggest on it. Thank you 🙏
Suggestions like this are basically never possible because I and anyone else do not know your main use case. The best thing you can do is look which focal length you use most and then look what Canon has on offer in those areas. For example: you use your 24-105 mostly in the 24 - 35mm range? Maybe it'd be great to get the 15-35mm f/2.8? Or you mostly use 70-105? Could look into the 70-200mm f/4 or f/2.8. Or you look for primes in the most used focal length areas. Like: a fixed 35mm, 50mm, or 85mm.
I just did the update today, I never had 265 but for some reason now it lets me use 265. I always use pro res 422 but now I pushed 265 and it did not tell me I can't use it, weird
That's good. But remember that H.265 is a significantly lower bitrate compared to most cameras internal recording and especially compared with ProRes 422. So, yes, the files are smaller… but you are getting a quality drawback.
@@ChrisSpieglI’m new to filming with cameras I only have been back in it a few years now, I’m used to filming on drones so it’s definitely a lot different lol. I know 265 is better than 264 but what is even the reason for 265. Why would they make you pay for 265 when you can use pro res? Are there any benefits from it? I have not tried to record yet but it gave me the 265 option and didn’t say you don’t have this but it does not say activated either. Very weird
It can have many problems. Outside tempereature too high? That was a big one for me. Then also dirt in the fans? Battery can help but usually not the first thing when it comes to overheating.
Based on Atomos website: support.atomos.com/hc/en-us/articles/5457657747087-AtomRemote-Input-Monitor-and-Output#:~:text=LUT%20On%20Record,issues%20with%20the%20recorded%20content. LUT On Record If this option is selected, your NINJA V will bake the LUT look into the recording. When enabled, a CUSTOM LOOK icon will flash in the top corner of the monitor and the LUT cannot be activated during recording to avoid any potential issues with the recorded content. Baking a LUT into your recording cannot be undone in post-production, so we advise that you consider your workflow before the use of this option. Baking the LUT into your recording is not supported when recording with the ProRes RAW codec.
Hey Chris! I have one other question. I have not used it yet, but close to trying it out soon. Unless I'm missing something, with Source Record, I take it that I can both start and stop the recording of multiple sources at once right? And is there a key command for that in Source Record? Just purchased a third camera, so I'll have at least three dedicated cameras that I wish to start and stop recording at once. Thanks!
Reminder: I am not the developer of this plugin. But: Source Record has all kinds of options and you can make it that all 3 of your sources / scenes are recording whenever you start the recording in OBS itself. You can also make them start when you start streaming. And if I remember correctly, you can also setup hotkeys to start/stop recording of specific sources etc. It's very flexible.
Great quick overview of SoundSource. There's currently a 22% sale for all of Rogue Amoeba products including SoundSource as well as all of Rogue Amoeba bundles until October 7, 2024 to celebrate 22 years of Rogue Amoeba - Discount Code: TWENTYTWO.
@@ChrisSpiegl Thanks, i thought maybe one can layer those belts. i will also have another look at other systems like courier carrier and peak design and see how they figure it out (if they have)
Hey Chris! Where can I find timecode signal from Canon R5C? I have 4 audio channels on timeline in Premiere Pro, but there is no timecode signal. I'm using Canon R5C + Tentacle Sync. On the other hand I have clear timecode signal from my Canon R8 on the left channel and on the right channel there is audio signal.
When you connect the Tentacle Sync to the R5C, you should do so with the Timecode port (DIN something something). Then the timecode is not on the audio track but instead is saved as metadata which is more easily read by Premiere Pro, etc.
@@ChrisSpieglThx for answer! I get it, but I tried to sync it with my timecode from Canon R8 (which is reading by audio track) by linear timecode in Premiere Pro, unfortunetaly with no success.
Hi Chris! Do you considered doing video about new feature in premiere pro about linear timecode? I'm using Canon R5C + Canon R8 + Zoom F6 + Tentacle Sync + Rode Wireless Pro and I would love to see your workflow. I'm trying to implement timecode with our weddings, but it's not that simple.
I am considering a video about the new Timecode sync in Premiere and have been in contact with Adobe about how they implemented it as well as improvements I'd like to see. I am ramping back up with videos in the coming weeks. So, maybe this one is going to be done soon.
Question: why cannot I put the trim lower than 12dB?This is such annoying, especially when I use contact or very senstive microphone for near sources? or Thank you for this video tutorial it is very good explained
Sorry, I am not a Zoom engineer and do not have an answer to your specific question. Maybe they can be of help when contacted directly through the Zoom support.
Hello Chris. First of all, I would like to thank you for your great video and the great help you gave me and others. I followed your instructions exactly and have exactly the same podcast setup. Unfortunately, Autocut only takes two of the three video tracks into account when cutting automatically and always forgets the third video track. But only when I use Autocut in the multicam timeline. In the timeline with the individual video tracks, it works as expected. Do you have any tips for me as to why this might be? Thank you. Best wishes from Germany, Arne
I'm answering myself because I've found the error in the meantime 😃 NOT linking audio and video solves my problem. As you showed in the video it works. I should have paid more attention to watch 😃
My question is why would I want to switch to a brand account in the first place. Like besides what's mentioned in the video - what is the point of BEING a brand account as opposed to a regular account? I'm trying to build myself up as a youtuber, and I understand that I need to work on building my brand to differentiate myself as a youtuber, but what's the connection there to the actual brand account setting? I think I'm just not fully understanding the purpose or if it's even something I need to actually do as a creator.
I would 100% start out with a Brand Account. You never know how things go in the future and the additional management features you get with a Brand Account make a huge difference. So you can invite people to manage analytics, content, comments, etc.
Can you please show me how you can connect three mics plus a remote guest plus having all these connected to another iphone where i can get the video recorded?
As mentioned in the video, I do not own the P4 and can't make new videos about it. But I can help you with the setup remotely. You can contact me via email/instagram/telegram, and we can chat about a consulting session (all info about how to connect is in the video description).
@@ChrisSpiegl Thanks man thats so nice of you. My only concern about if I connect the Iphone to the USB on the left side of the P4 device while having three people recording, would it record smoothly on the iphone with voice? Regardless of the seperation of the sound track which I dont need.
Thanks for the heads-up. I may have to re-upload this video. But a sidenote: how about you don't do all that in a condescending voice and remember that there are humans on the other end of the line! I appreciate the feedback, but sometimes things go fast, the editing program playback looks like it's in sync, but then the export is not… errors can happen.
When you "lean backwards" on the Walkolution, it stops the pad from moving under you and you can take a break. I have not "specifically" tried to turn around and walk backwards, but I may have done it in a call or something. The Walkolution generally feels very natural to walk on.
When using the video capture, do you need a memory to be inserted in the camera?? Because I have a Canon 700D and the memory card port does not work, please let me know this is an option.
I am recording with t.bone SC 140 and I am getting a weird metallic effect when speaking. Not bad, but defnitely not as good as it sounds here. I am powering the microphone using a H4N, does anybody know if that could affect the result and if I should be using something else?
I have been unsuccessful trying to upgrade to this firmware. I have three Ninja V’s and none of them installed the firmware. I unzipped the file and placed it in the root directory. I even tried using a file I unzipped from a Mac. It is really not a big deal. I also have an X Cast that I was trying to use for streaming. I did a lot of streaming during Covid but I haven’t done any for quite a while.
Not sure what is going on there. I have updated my Ninja V a few times since AtomOS 11 was released, and it works every time. You can actually do both: place the file directly on the SSD and start the Ninja with it inside, or push it in when the Ninja is already started (and it will ask you to update). One critical thing: you have to make sure to download the right file from the Atomos firmware page. The Ninja will not recognize the firmware update that is meant for another device. You specifically have to download the Ninja V or Ninja V+ or whatever exact model you have file!
Great video. Very practical. I like the C-2 because it captures the high frequencies well. It's easy enough to roll off the highs with a low-pass filter but if you're looking for more clarity and your mic didn't catpure it, then you're outta luck. Its easy enough to make any flat sounding mic sound bassy or whatever by applying a passive/subtractive EQ to it. We all use these tools in post so for me, it factors in to my decision. I don't even care about the noise floor because the built in dialogue processor in Davinci Resolve takes care of that. Mostly I like the C-2 because it's best bang for buck. The money I saved went into a boom arm and a boom arm holder which I can mount on a tripod (or light stand).
How do know which you are getting when you purchase some where? What should it say for data delivery? There are too many cable for cellphones these days and most are NOT for data speed.
It's a mess. I agree. I'd look that it shows data transfer rates (usually in MB/s and that should be rather high). If you want a really good cable, you usually can check that it supports Thunderbolt 3 or 4 and those should handle both power & data speed.
I am a little confused. It was first told the 60W adaptor can be used if we don't need to power 100W Macbooks or drones. But then it was shown the 60W adaptor can charge the 100W Macbook Pro M1. Please clarify. I am looking for a car adaptor for my 100W Mag Safe 3 / Thunderbolt 4 type Macbook Pro M1 too
Just because it “can charge” does not mean that it is doing so well. A 60W adapter will charge a MacBook Pro M1, but much slower than when you use a 100W adapter. This can be no problem if you just want to charge (slowly). But if you want to also work on the laptop you may not charge at all because all the 60W are needed to run the laptop while us use it.
Thank you for the effort! I'm a beginner to microphones and have no idea what to look for. I've been looking into the Behringer BA 85A but was worried that people were really trying to like the mic and ignoring the cons of the mic. This is made me secured in my upcoming purchase and making me realize that I am going to need a pop filter (didn't know that existed). I was also curious of what came in the box and if I needed a mic stand. Your video has literally answered all my questions. Thank you again!
Hi there, did you notice any major video/audio syncing issue when you're editing this video? Someone said if the video is recorded in 30 pr 60 fps it should be fine. Would you recommend the P4 for video podcast?
If you want the highest quality audio recording, I would choose the Zoom F3 or F6 (depending on how many mics you plan on having): crsp.li/ZoomF6 The P4 is a great little machine but the sound quality is better with others. If you want to get started and this fits your budget, I think you'd be fine with the P4! If you have more questions, please join my community: QualityCreators.Club
