Saw them open for Janes Addiction at the old Scream on 9th and Grand. Mighht be unfair to say opened for them. Most LA bands stood uniquely on their own. And lets face it, She was attractive too.
I have always loved this song. The words have come to mean so much more over the years. Today, I am 59. Unbelievable. "Time makes you bolder. Children get older." What a ride...
I heared her for the first Time in the 90s and searched for a long Time after the Name behind the Voice. Music in its most beautiful and pure Form,Clear and Powerful, simply Perfect.
Most live Curve videos on here sound like crap compared to this live recording. They should have released more than just a few live tracks like this on their CD singles.
Nice. Maxwell's is quite the venue apparently. The Replacements recorded a live album there too in the 80s. Great sixties sensibilities too, a band w 2 tambourine players lol!
This song represents for me the Beggining " of the glorious 80'! A kick in the stomac and know we presents you The Dream Syndicate, The Cure, Joy Division, Bauhaus, B-52's 4AD bands, DCD, etc, Siouxsie&The Banshees, Alan Vega, Nick Cave...so many and all with natural talent! I was 15/16 when I reallise those great bands, Lucky me!
In my opinion this is one of those tracks that should be better known It is brilliant and beautiful. I am typing this missive on the warmest day in the UK so far in 2024 . The track has a summer feel to it . . As good as anything Kendra has ever done in her long career. I would like to know who wrote this track. Was it David R or Kendra ? ditto the track "too little too late " on the DS album "days of wine and roses " (1982)
