Hi Terry - I think Sparkenhoe farm is great, the cheeses are wonderful & the cafe is a treat, appreciate the input, have a great week yourself. Take Care my friend. Ride Rad
Did think about the old hat factory, and the canal, but I wasn't sure about the extra timings, it's the longest Vlog I've done, but perhaps on my next trip? Much appreciated my friend, thanks for the input. Ride Rad
Hi Terry - Glad you enjoyed the Vlog, having sisters in Atherstone gives me another reason to visit, appreciate the input as always. Take care my friend.
Nice ride with some interesting facts very well done. We have a similar disused railway near us, The Brampton Valley way which runs from Market Harborough to Northampton, its a nice ride, enjoy the rest of your day
Hi Terry - What I have found out is....I don't know my own backyard as much as I thought I did! Look out for more places I roam to! Appreciate the input my friend. Have a great week.
Hello, sir I watched your RU-vid channel for quite some time. You are uploading 18 videos so far but you are not getting views, subscribers, watch time as expected and therefore you are not able to monetize. I want to talk about this with you. I look forward to your valuable time. Jahangir Upwork (Top Rated)
Just another example I'm afraid of what many cyclists experience every day my friend, hence my mantra " Be seen-Be safe " appreciate your input Ride Rad
@@peranhammers I bought it off of Facebook marketplace about a year ago from a young man who was leaving out of state. I got a really good deal. No photos yet, but I was thinking about posting some.
Glad you appreciate it my friend, I try to be informative & entertaining in my Vlogs, but I never wander far from the reason I started the Vlog in the first place - to educate my 3 (grown-up) sprogs, where their Dad went cycling, when he was a sprog! Appreciate your input. Ride Rad!
Cheers Terry, I love when the towpath & hedges are kept in good nick, it makes my canal roams even more pleasant. Have a good week yourself my friend, Ride Rad,
The Cavalcade seems to have been a Honda Goldwing club. They're boxer 6, 1800cc touring bikes. Most people consider them too big for UK or Europe. Sad you didn't show us into your pub! Cheers from the USA. My touring eBike is an Aventon Level.2. It's a city bike really, but it works for touring too, when I want. It will go 50 miles on a charge if I'm easy on the throttle.
Apologies my friend, I will show you around The Millers later this summer, it has a great interior attraction - a working waterwheel! stayed tuned for more Vlogs, appreciate you input - Ride Rad!
@@peranhammers thanks! Yes I added the centre console and modded the wooden side panels into panniers by cannibalising an old camouflage pannier bag, also made a passengers seat out os said bag and wood panel
@@peranhammers this is my second RadRunner, had this one around six months, bought my last one in 2021 and was stupid enough to sell it.. bought another one when they were on sale. I have two other bikes, but the runner is my favouy🫠
Nice move getting the Eggrider for better torque. I did the same thing - in the USA, our standard is 750w but there were two very steep hills in my town that remained unconquered without exhausting my old body. So I got one of them-there 35A controller upgrades and now my maximum power is 1,600w, no battery or motor changes needed - huge difference and all hills conquered now! Keeps the bike stealthy as well; doesn't look like a hotrod, but massive torque difference. From a standstill, she pulls like a farm tractor now, which his handy now and then for starting out from the base of a hill or squirting quickly through a busy intersection. Most of the time though, I keep the power draw between 500-800w as much as possible, to go easier on the power systems and battery. Sure is fun to twist the throttle all the way, though - reminds me of my big old motorcycles. Cheers and keep enjoying your Rad!
You are spot on my friend, the big difference is that in the UK is that you are not allowed to exceed 15.5 mph - unlike the US, but as another Silver Fox (70 next birthday) the Eggrider is my best mate! Keep Riding Rad- and keep watching! Much appreciated
Just as a (hopefully) genuine question Martin, given your extensive journeyings on your various vlogs, how do you find the state of his Majesty's highways?
To be unflinchingly honest, I would give the Highways Agency 5 out of 10. This accurately shows the state of the roads as I feel them on the Radrunner. What is of more concern is the constant awareness I have to employ for vehicles around me- they fall into 2 district categories: Either giving me an OTT wide birth or so close to my handlebars, that I can see their drivers mirror! What fun being a cyclist in 2024...appreciate the input Ride Rad
Well done nice interesting historical facts. Those gates are absolutely ridiculous what idiot came up with that design needs to be sectioned. Enjoy your week
Hi Terry - Those gates are designed for a purpose - but surely someone could improve them? I see them all over the place, especially the canal roams I do! Hope you have a great week. Thanks for the input.
Very nice ride very well done, I've rode out to Sibson last year on my travels beautiful peaceful town. Definitely unusual to see such a long convoy of bikes the good thing they passed you leaving plenty of room. Enjoy your week
Ah. I see that you swapped the location of the lock and bottle holder. I was going to suggest that, to keep the bottle at least a bit higher out of any mud splashes (in spite of the fenders). And easier to reach from the riding position. At 04:12m you mention the app for the Eggrider, keeping track of speed and distance of your rides. Does it also correlate it to any GPS map tracking, so that you can know *where* the various speeds and whatnot occurred?
No GPS on the Eggrider v2, but loads of useful info, eg: How much battery use being used, how efficiently the bike is being used etc: but the torque factor is this little beauty's ace, highly recommended. Appreciate your input. Ride Rad,
I was thinking the same thing; a water bottle is needed when riding, occasionally, but a lock never is. I got a 2-bottle holder that fits on the front rack 4-bolt mount, just in case I need more than the one.
@@RJ-kr4bs I wouldn't say a bike lock is never used - you need some security if you are away from the bike, even for the shortest time. Appreciate the input. Ride Rad
Completely agree, I have to say I was almost expecting something to happen, as soon as they approached the junction, I'm just glad I slowed down! Thanks for your comments. Ride Rad!
Different kind of video nice one, i had a similar experience having a Sainsburys van pull out of a side road missing me by millimetres, some motorists haven't got a clue
Completely agree Terry, I am looking forward to recording Vlogs this spring, as it will be the first spring season for the Roaming Radrunner. Take care and always remember - Ride Rad!
Hi Terry - I have to admit that my fave rides are along the towpath - but the stste of some of them do make me a little nervous as I try to avaid falling in the cut! (See Towpath Travelouge Part1 as an example...) Thanks for watching. Ride Rad!
Have to say Scott, and I'm sure you'll confirm it - what passes asa s "Close Pass" is an everyday occurance, watch out in Vlog 12 for a classic example - Ride Rad!
Hi Terry - I know Desborogh a little, the route from Kilworth and Husbands Bosworth willo definetly be a Vlog for 2024! Appreciate the comments - Ride Rad!
