Haha, hi Jayden. Yeah you would have fun in there on it. Hope you don’t mind my cover pic of day 4. Pretty sure I spent more time on the ground than you in that section 😅
watched the ktm rally video and loved it, interesting to see the no bollox super low budget version :-) , that bloody crossing with the rails in was a tad gnarly eh - ooooft
Hi, that ride is an annual ride and is by Moto Mapped. Look up their website and you can register your interest now. I think the ride is in November and it is a great ride. Starts and finishes in Taupo.
Hi, that ride was put on by AFC Ktm in Palmerston North and is for KTMs only, there next one I think is going to be late November. Moto Mapped does put on good rides at good prices. Look at there web site. Have Fun.
Were those forest tracks public? I wouldn't mid giving them a crack when it's dry. (looks like most of it would be impossible on 80/20 tires unless it was perfectly dry)
Awesome tracks boys.. Wow! What an adventure ride, mind blowing scenery. (I did ride up to Whakapapa ski field during the Christmas holiday after I watched your inspiring video of it, unfortunately I couldn't go to Fishers track) Thanks for sharing this videos, I would like to join one day. 🙋♂
Hi, a bit of both but a lot of public access. The Napoleon and Glenfalloch station, Orari Station you need to get permission. A good place to look is on the Remote Moto site but it does cost to subscribe or ask on the NZ Adventure Ride Facebook, lots of people ask on that and someone will reply with answers and phone numbers.
Good stuff guys, looks like awesome trip. I think we ran into you at the Okuku River crossing (Lees Valley). A couple of you decided to wash your bikes; we were on old small bikes, CT's and XL's...will look out for upload of that part of your journey.
Hi, Not sure on dates but both Bay Motorcycles and AFC Motorcycles will have rides on in 2023. They are both KTM rides but also check out Moto Mapped website as they stick on rides for all brands and are good value.
I've done a bunch of those public roads. I'd love to explorer some of the others, but I don't think my old Tiger on 80/20's would get through those puddles.... or the 10km leading up to them. Looks like fun though.
Hi, Was a good fun trip, the only place that was really slippery was the Makairo track. The puddles up by the windmills wasn't slippery and the puddles had a good solid bottom. just that one deeper one which you can still ride through but can also sneak past it on the left hand side of it. Have Fun.
Thanks Kerry, lucky with the weather otherwise would be very slippery in the forests. Gordon at Moto Mapped does put on good rides with a good mix of tracks.
Incredible. Watching here from India, I don’t have access to any of the bikes you guys were riding (not even the little 300L), but I thoroughly enjoyed it as if I was a part of the ride. This shows that we don’t necessarily need to narrate a video, just have fun with the lads and viewers will enjoy equally. Great work. 🙏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it. It’s just great to get out on your bike with your mates and see lots of different countryside. Shame there’s not many bike options for you. Cheers
