Should the strings be tight on on your bow or loose? Thank you.
@MusicwithMeg
@MusicwithMeg 8 дней назад
They should be tight, the gap between the wood and the hairs should be about the width of your little finger

@MusicwithMeg

Are the strings on correctly? They should sit on top of the wooden bridge near the base of the violin in order to create tension.

I think i was doing something wrong but my violin string snapped when I was tuning and I was following your steps
@MusicwithMeg

If your pegs are stiff, it can be helpful to turn the peg towards you (loosing the string) before you twist away (tightening the string)

Does the violin go on the left shoulder regardless of which hand is dominant? My kiddo is left handed.

It seems complex at first glance however like most learning curves the more exposed to it the more it would sink in. Your knowledge of music along with your ability to convey it are truly a gift to all.

@@MusicwithMeg I think it is because your videos are classed by You Tube as for kids, Meg. I am not sure it should be classed as kids content because adults clearly use your channel 😊💖
