There are a quite a few things I love about this track. First of all, from a thematic perspective it is outright unique. You almost never hear a love song in rap. And, it's not angry or vengeful. Reminds me of my own personal quote to my old therapist when he learned that my (spits) ex-wife cheated on me. He asked, "Did you hit her?" and I replied, "Sir, I was hurt. Not angry. There is a difference you know." Dude had a PhD hanging on his wall, yet thought the only emotional recourse a man has is to resort to violence. Anyway, I love how understated the music is. Because this song really required a light touch and you bloody nailed it! And is has one other unique quality. It swings. In jazz, that is the hallmark of a good song. In jazz, its gotta swing. But this song does. I can't say I ever remember hearing a rap song that had swing. I think Snoop''s "Beautiful" is about it. Lastly, the production quality is outstanding. Very well done sir!
