She works with highly motivated, creative, and heart-centered people who want to design a whole new life for themselves in France, who struggle with finding the right path for bringing their new life to life, and who would like to be fully supported as they blossom and s'épanouir into who they truly are.
FYI, the PUMA charge is 6.5% on dividend/capital gains income AFTER the first 23K euro in 2024. As Allison mentions, any retirement accounts have no PUMA charge.
I would be cautious of using this company. I bought Allison's book, "Foolproof French Visas 2022 edition" needing information about "corporative officer" visa, and there was absolutely no information about this in the book, and I got scammed out of 30 euros for the book. I tried to reach Allison by email, but her site does not contain any way to contact her unless a customer buys a package deal for thousands of dollars. I called my bank to file a dispute, and they couldn't get the money from her. Ultimately, scammy the way that it is set up.
I'm not disagreeing because I'm not well versed personally, but lately I've been doing some research and 5-10 people including 2 companies that help people move from US to FR say that you can work remotely on the long stay visitor visa just fine. I'll post some sources below if it helps anyone, but as always, consult a lawyer before you decide who's correct. Thanks for the video!
Allison, I bought your book thinking that there was the information that I needed to apply for the “Corporate officer” visa in France, but it did not contain the information that I needed. I want my money back! You really should list in the description the visa types that the book contains so that people don’t waste their money. Also, there is no way to reach you by email on your webpage. I am not happy in my experience with you- Blake
But the income is not from French source or income. The idea is to not take a job from a potential French applicant or enter the job market or become a competitor. I was under Talent Visa with AWS and I know people that ran their US business remotely or freelancer. They just had to pay their taxes/impôts to DG des Finances of the Department. However, you're right about working remote for a big corporate company. It is going to be illegal for most americans because you cannot work in a different country for more than 90 days. My job for example will require a mutation to become a legal french employees.
Hey Allison, this is a great video. I do have a question: If I already have an established online business here in the U.S do I still need to apply for a professional visa and basically recreate my business plan to prove I can make at least 1500 Euros per month? I hope I understood that correctly lol
Thanks for the work you are doing. I would like to know more about the advantages and disadvantages of being an auto entrepreneur or creating my own company with me as the only employee
Hi Allison, I just recently bought a small flat in Nice, and eventually plan to move there next spring, after I retire here in the United States (Texas). My question is what type of visa should I try to obtain? I am still young, and I will retire young, so I want to still work and hopefully find a job in France. What is your advice for someone who now owns property in France, still wants to work, goal is to eventually become a French Citizen, just not sure what Visa route to take....thanks for the advice! ~Celestin
If you can demonstrate evidence of financial stability (e.g. you are in a salaried work position, a full-time CDI), earning at least 1.5x SMIC (minimum wage), then yes, you can apply after 2 years.
@@yourfranceformation Hi thanks for responding but just for clarification for example if I study my masters in France and have a CDI contract lined up for when a graduate then can I apply for citizenship after I’m done or do I have to work in that job for certain period Before I can apply
Please send the PDF for type of Visa and the link to the Free Visa Assessment (I could not quite make out the email address given to obtain this. Thank you for all this, Heather
What if I'm wanting to stay more than 90 days but less than 183 and work remotely? I understand that you're saying you still aren't technically supposed to do a tourist visa in this scenario...but would it actually be an issue?
Does your business insurance cover you in a country where your business is not registered? Will your travel insurance cover work-related incidents abroad while you are on vacation?
