I wasn’t getting at you mate I was getting at the awning ? We still haven’t managed to put it up ? It doesn’t tell you how the poles go up and where they go ? We have up on it to be honest
No worries pal, I've still got mine in the garage but I sold my VW so I can't show you 😂 can't remember if it shows you in this video because I did it a couple of years ago....
We bought 😅new d they are total rubbish Difficult to erect and awfull instructions . There a big gap at the bottom between the awning and the ground but he’s not telling you this
I thought it was really easy to put up actually... Which bit did you struggle with? Also the gap in the bottom can be set lower, remember this is an open ended awning not an enclosed one!
Been watching you for a wee while now. Any chance you coukd do a novice guide for those like us hoping to get into this ? Ie, difference between short wheel base and long wheel base, what’s insurance like etc etc
Loving the curtain pole idea, great addition and will be looking into it. Can leave the mrs in bed and still open the front of the van up with no moaning 😂
Replaced both vehicle and leisure batteries just recently nothing wrong with the old ones but I don’t know how old they were and they were both unbranded so replaced both with top quality items on the basis of better safe than sorry as Sod’s Law dictates they will go at the worst possible time ! Now looking to go lithium for extra capacity as we always camp off grid so no hook up power. If you don’t have any goggles when checking your battery just use the “safety squint” 😜🇬🇧
Hahahahah loving the safety squint 🤣 lithium is a good idea, I have the fear when off grid in the winter and I'm mostly off grid these days. Summer seems OK though.
Good idea Neil! I'm out tonight in Bamburgh and its already dropped to 12.2v. in one hour. Think I'll need to do the same soon, even though its only been 7 months.
This is NOT a review after 12 month of owning, nor is it a review at all. It’s quite simply a guided tour of your vw camper, pointing out its attributes and other paraphernalia.
Fair comment! A RU-vid plug in suggested a title change to get more views, which has worked, but as you will see from the intro on the video created in minute 1, I actually called this a tour video. Apologies for that, I didn't intend to deceive. For what its worth, I thought the T6.1 was an awesome van with very few flaws! If you have been watching my videos you will see I had trouble with tyres, but really other than this, the van was pretty flawless. The tech on the van as you see in this video is next level, better than my Jag. The fit out of the rear campervan section was amazing, offering everything we needed for a family trip away. Let me know if you need anything else and I'd be glad to help! Thanks for watching!! Kenny.
Going back over older videos, I think I was better at producing them then 😂 need to up my game! Hope to see you on other Scottish Van Trips soon. Hit that subscribe button for great trips around Scotland.
One thing that is cool about doing YT is going back over old videos! I miss my VW but I love the Ducato! I hope you continue to subscribe for more Scottish Van Trips, no matter what van you have!
That was a great feature of that van, I've moved to a Fiat Ducato now, but I will still be posting content about my trips and visiting other VW content soon!
Just put down a deposit on the 65 Auto, going to get the BBQ point fitted did you get an option to where to locate? Also have you found the location of yours is in a good place. Thanks
Yes, best place is the rear corner of the van behind the fridge vents. Easy access to the gas pipes coming off the fridge and also complies with safety laws so it's not under the awning
Thanks for reply Hoping i get the tried and tested 9 speed as I'm reading its being discontinued to be replaced with an all new 8 speed this year sometime
@@jml9251 oh I wasn't aware of that. The good news is you will get the benefit of the automatic fridge, which is a real bonus. I always forget to switch the fridge between modes when travelling!
great vlog! look forward to travelling to Europe when i eventually get my own van. Which route did you take to the tunnel and did you break up the journey? thanks!
Stopped at a pub near Sheffield having finished work to get a head start, it was free to stay in the car park if we bought some beer, win win! We were in bruges for lunchtime next day!
Absolutely! It's been great, quite tricky to install but definitely worth it. I've had no issues at all. Thanks for watching. More content in production ready for release soon!
Awesome thanks, there are facebook groups for the various vans - V-line, Adventure etc. You can search in those groups using the magnifying glass at the top of the facebook page and it will bring up the chats that have happened regarding these sink kits, that's how I got mine. Still not done it, was waiting for at least a year to ensure its all fine for warranty...Also drop me a comment if there is anything else you'd like to see, I'm starting to put video ideas together for 2024.
Thanks mate, glad it was useful, there's a guy Neil selling them in both the Autotrail Vline Facebook group and also the autotrail adventure Facebook group. If you use the search feature you should find him posting about it.
