It's terrible and I think it's a scam, especially for the very touristic places or areas. There are some restaurants in that areas have bad reputations. I will say it's a lesson learned and you should leave😂😢😂! I don't like East side of London and either brick lane. It is very cool or artistic for young people but not for me. But many junks but they so called it 'retro'. Lol. It's so pricey.
I think it is a scam, but at least when you reminded them of what they promised, they did not argue. Besides, the food is good. That is what really matters. If I were you, I will never go to that restaurant again.
I can’t remember the overall price. It wasn’t unreasonably priced, I think they are just trying to even out the costs. After promising al the discounts, I think they make the money back in extra charges. 😆
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, and I also ponder if this were a scam. To me a scam is you have been cheated out of money or something of value without receiving anything that was agreed upon in return. However, it is obvious the restaurant owner and staff were dishonest even though they appeared friendly. I would dispute the entire check calmly and call out all the discrepancies to let them know they can't get away with cheating people.
😄Dear Lucy! I like this episode with your family strolling around London a lot. I haven’t been to England, but this video just inspired me! ❤ thank you for sharing it and I am looking forward to a new episode/ adventure!
I saw an article saying about the 'public toilet disappearance crisis' in the UK and the 'Urinary Leash', where people can't find toilets, but the article was in Chinese (Mandarin)... But I saw some English articles that also mentioned the Urinary Leash issue. ------------------------------------- The Sherlock Holmes Museum is in London, right? But people who aren't fans of Sherlock Holmes might find it boring to visit... There is a Japanese video game called The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures, which is about a Japanese man studying abroad in England who meets Sherlock Holmes. Some have accused the character Jezaille Brett from the first chapter of being racist, but the story is set in the 19th century...
