Hello everyone, welcome to this channel. In this channel, I upload the complete and detailed tutorials of Revit for architectural design projects. The purpose of this channel is to help the architects and students to learn 1. creating complex forms in Revit, 2. creating the detailed family components with parameters, 3. the basics of Revit If you have any queries or difficulties related to Revit, you can ask me and I will try my best to answer them.
You can actually fix the corners, while changing the width, by - in family change the reference line origin from the center to the end one. - this is method one. Second if you want to create this as a single corner window, not like these two parts, then change the opening and create a void in the wall and do from begining, create the same thing on the perpendicular side of wall too. I don't know how many will understand this😂
Good tutorial cheers. Just wanted to say you can free drag vertices using the little square between the two arrows. Use it to drag the vertices freely within the same plane without having to use the arrows individually. Also if you want to orbit a 3d view, press shift on keyboard and press the mouse wheel down to drag to orbit the view around rather than having to use the steering wheel. Its a lot quicker.
Interesting but why the double thickness? If you look at the original building this is likely to be a thin cladding sheets or maybe even fabric laid over curved trusses, not created as a concrete shell structure. So whereas its an interesting tutorial its not that realistic.
Got to say you really need to make more use of filters to select objects. I think it is very difficult to do a regular form by eye only, in a real life project you would need to ensure accuracy over the thickness of the shell form.
Thanks for your tutorial!, I really appreciate it. I have 1 problem, maybe you can help me: when I edit the door angle an error pops up: "One or more dimension references are or have become invalid": it is related to void sweep...I added the dimension to the side and locked as you did but it did not generate a problem to you...what can be wrong?
You wouldn't actually want to do this in any professional matter. When you model a roof by defining slopes, the thickness remains consistent no matter what angle the roof is at. If you do it the way that it was shown in this video, the thicknesses of the roof will be completely destroyed because the thickness is always measured vertically, meaning if you have a very high angle and you model the roof like it was done in this video, the roof will end up being paper thin. Doing it properly, the thickness is always kept perpendicular to the faces of the roof. Sorry to say, but this is exactly what NOT to do.
thanks a lot maam, you are awesome . at first i had a confusion between ref plane & ref line . in the second attempt , i carefully watched the video again and done the ref plane n ref line correctly . kudos to you
For the mirroring part of the seat cushion at 7:30 mins, it shows an error for me that says "can't create sweep". May I know how do I fix that please ?
Nice but too much work has been done here...... like for scaling we can use scale command on image with reference line . And instead making voids for external body of tub we can use two swept blend one with solid option and for internal one void option .... this is another way around.... anyways thank you
great work!...but i couldn't make door width parameter as it is coming as sub category instead of label...what should i do now? can anyone help me to sort out this...
