Bits and pieces of places we visited where people make music and dance. I took all the photos & made all the videos that are beside my name. I get nothing from this. It's just a hobby. So far as I know, the revenue from advertising goes to Google. Not all advertising should be trusted. If it's too good to be true, it's probably not true.
Used to play with Rocky Ramblers in Edmonton and Eastern Alberta. They lasted over 50 years. It was an absolute BLAST and a hell of a lot of Fun! No one plays this kind of music anymore 😢. Methinks it's a lost, bygone Era. Sadly, Rocky Sr. had to finally pack away his accordion. Think I'll be the last one left.
Revisited this video tonight, just wow! Love it, I will never get tired of it! 3 of them playing the dulcimer at the same time just says how talented this group is!
We regularly go to the manitou opera house to listen to the fugitives, great music always 🎶😊 and regarding the dance lessons and dancing I’m truly encouraged to see when young people (under age 25) are trying to learn and when the older people see this they’re happy to encourage others and give tips and tricks, old time dance is not just for older people lol💃🎶❤️
my dad is the man playing guitar in the red shirt in the second, third, and fourth video. thank you very much for sharing. He was a phenomenal musician ❤️
So happy to find these videos. The singer is my Grandma, and the drummer is my Grandpa, it's lovely to come across videos of them doing what they love, and seeing so many people dancing along!!
It's nice to hear from you. Here is another one with me speaking with them when they were in Camrose AB ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lckbmwue1Rk.html
The piano is a very versatile instrument, can be played in many different types of music, it did very well here. I have enjoyed the music you have been putting on RU-vid, Thanks!!
It’s pretty neat to still see this going, my Grandma Doreen O’Brien and Bob Stewart founded the Westlock Jamboree years ago. Bob would be so happy to still see it going. My Grandma turned 89 this year.
