When you are a man it is easy to ignore all those verses about menstruating woman making stuff unclean by sitting on it. Sacrificing birds after mebstruation, being unclean after childbirth. Did you know, that in Russian Orthodox church woman on her period is banned from entering the church. All this hideous discrimination of women and girls you hide behind one sentence: "we have different roles". Paul gave women the “right to remain silent”. If you can’t talk then your opinion is censored before you even opened your mouth. Some Fundamental churches are waking up that women who vote in church meeting, that their vote is use of their voice and want to remove her right to vote. One of the largest groups who opposed women’s right to vote in local, state and Federal US elections, who were against women’s suffrage, were the Baptists. Paul also wanted women to cover their hair and no one does this now and no one is offended about it. I have to say to men “grow a brain” as if they had one, you wouldn’t need to tell them. Women are the majority of those who attend church and the men come to keep their wives happy more than that they even spend time ever reading the Bible. If there is a sports game or race on TV, they might attend if they have that set to record, otherwise, they won’t attend. Women tithe. I do not see why they should.

My opinion is: A- The Roman Catholic Church translated the Bible to be more patriarchal. That has lead to many misquotes. B- Paul was the one who made many of the sexist quotes. The bible blames Lots' daughters for raping him. 3. The bible blames Jesus' mother for inducing him, against his will, to produce more drinks (wine) for the party drunks. 4. The bible blames Tamar for deceiving Jesse into having sex with her. 5. Lot admonishes the mob for their wickedness, and offers his two virgin daughters to the mob so that they could gang-bang them and save the two strangers (angels). 6. The bible blames Sapphire, Ananias' wife, for agreeing to keep for themselves some of the money they got from selling their property.
