Marv Hubbard of Colgate. He's the only football player I can remember where every time they mentioned his name they'd mention his college. Like it was part of his name. I used to wonder if the announcers were getting paid a little payola by the toothpaste company every time they mentioned "of Colgate".
My dad passed about 20 years ago and I'm glad he didn't have to see the demise of Raiders and The A's . We are Bay area residents and people can make fun of the Oakland Coliseum all they want but the 1970's were special. back to back to back WS winners and of course the SB winners Raiders.
How can you not like Stabler even if your not a fan . I enjoyed watching him play specially since he was left handed like I am I didn’t see to much that when I was young .
I'm born and raised in Appalachia from a long line of bluegrass musicians. Brought up in the house my poppa hand built. I tell my buddy's when I drive down east to the beach for vacation that I'm such a mountain man that if i get a cut then my blood runs UP my body. Trying to get to an elevation it's accustom to. Lol

It was the first deer we had seen in 2 days and the 350 pound body size had us fooled making the horns look smaller and was nothing like the deer others had seen because it had broken off its brow tines
Kenny Stabler was a gamer and is an all-time great. I loved those late 70's Raiders. What a bunch of personalities and what a wrecking crew they were. Two books that must read. Snake: The Legendary Life of Ken Stabler and BADASSES: The Legend of Snake, Foo, Dr. Death, and John Madden's Oakland Raiders. They are both awesome reads! What a time to live and play pro football. Those guys were wild!
