SO long ago, but once I replaced my turbo wastegate flap and adjusted my BOV, that ticking lessened. Additionally, I ran some octane booster thru it for a couple tanks, and it hasn't come back since. Techron may have also done the trick. Not a huge fan of additives, but it SEEMED to have worked for me :)
I need help!! I just got a GLA 250 and wanna kno what aftermarket parts I can install on my car.. I'm thinking since the CLA has the same motor I can use those parts but not sure.. or can I use the same parts as the GLA 45??
I have the same Turbosmart dual port bov on my stage 2 mapped A45, sometimes when on the throttle it makes a spitting noise going through the revs which I assume the spoiling will suffer, don't know why this is.
How did you raise the plastic The bit with the wires in to get the lower bolt. I seem to have no space to put a spanner beneath the Plastic to undo the lower bolt

What fuel pressure at the rail are you seeing currently? What were you seeing before to cause the noise? Was the AMS pump causing too much pressure? I think I'm experiencing the same problem with my car, except the car doesn't run well at all. Sent AMS logs and they said "its fine".... baffled.
So that only occurs on modified A45 AMG? Stock ones should do that? Or is that possible that bad quality petrol/gasoline can lead to a similar pump noise?
Hi M.J.R., is there any update about the TB V2 is handling high boost presure ? I've just blown my hybrid turbo into pieces and the non-electronic TB plump back valve was fitted. My friend who studied engine technician, suspected that the BOV zylinder stuck and didn't opened properly. That caused my turbo shaft to litterlaly explode. The compressor wheel had been found in the intercooler and air filter and the exhaust wheels is stuck in the downpipe.... Turbo and IC has already been ordered, but I'm not sure if I should install the TB V2 BOV or go with the OEM one ?
After just about running it for about 1 year, the AMS fuel line began to leak at the back of the nut, which connects to the HPFP. Car had to be shout down. Somebody experienced the same issue ? Due to my hard coilover and stabiisator setup, the harder metal of the fuel line, weared out the inner part of the HPFP connector. Now I'm screwed...
What year is your vehicle I have a 2018 CLA 45 & I don’t know which one to get the Mercedes-Benz A45, CLA45 And GLA45 AMG Kompact Shortie Dual Port - VR03 or Kompact EM BOV VR2 Dual Port please reply ASAP my car is in the shop and will be out next week & need to know which correct part to order.

great video, I admire what you have done with your GLA. Recently I went on my 215 GLA45 with stage 2 at AMS Performance here in West Chicago, I never knew that 2014-2016 models didn't have recirculation valve, at it's place there is just aluminum plate. I got brand new turbo (old one had faulty waste gate actuator) now I'm worried about this one, looks like BOV VR2 Dual Port is a must. As I mentioned, it's an older version of the turbocharger, not sure if there is OEM harness were I can plug in control signal electronic actuator wire. Do you know if it's possible to fit this bov on an older model of GLA ?
I have a 2016 FL A45. My turbo has a blanking plate, so I’m not also sure where I would connect the electrical harness. This is the only factor between me either getting a mechanical Kompact shortie dual port or the Kompact EM. Would prefer the EM but need somewhere to hook it up.
@@11Nisbeth thx for feedback, I have already AMS fitted the TurboSmart BOV 50/50 on my car, the surge is redirected to intake manifold and some into the atmosphere
@@11Nisbeth it’s different BOV, it’s been made specifically for older M133, before AMG decided fit in factory valve, it’s called “TURBOSMART BOV KOMPACT SHORTIE DUAL PORT VR03 “
@@exup76 thanks. Yeah I know the official names. Just not sure how the electronic valve (specifically the harness) will fit my car. No worries tho, I’ll speak with my tuner and find the best workable solution. Good luck. Hope you find a solution that works for you too 👍🏾
Did you ever get the metal noise to stop also are you going to make the blow of valve sound videos. I only ask because I have a 2017 gla 45 and just bought everything they had form AMS for the GLA. just want to make sure the metal noise stopped with the new BLV. before i start my installs.
