I had the same (or almost the same, I don't really know) 2 weeks ago. Lefort I + midline osteotomy to widen my maxillary + mandibular osteotomy to correct my overbite. I'm really interested by this kind of footage. Is there any place I can see the full operation or others similar ?
I love this set up, the assistant looks so comfortable. My last office I had to reach so far to get the instruments since the table was attached to the wall and the doctor occupied the tray attached to the chair. I’m still learning so it was hard to be so far from the tray and still figure out what to grab next. 😮💨
I don’t get it. She has the most minuscule tiny crevice at the top of her 2 front teeth. You grind down to create a gap. Then, close the gap you created with braces. Now that same gap is still there, but now she has that much less enamel.

How were these teeth restored? Using silver amalgam to build up anterior crown preparations is bad dentistry. It doesn't bond or reinforce the remaining tooth structure. Also, it would be near impossible to make a natural-looking translucent porcelain restoration (lithium disilicate) over those preparations. Those amalgams should be replaced with something like zirconia reinforced glass ionomer (ex: Zirconomer from Shofu dental) and fiber posts. Covering the amalgam with full contour zirconia crowns could work, but esthetics will be compromised.
