Welcome to CameraMan Johnny Productions!! (Formerly RailsandRoads) Here, you will find videos of truckspotting, emergency vehicles, sirens, horns, and lights, as well as trains.. I primarily film in Central Illinois but occasionally make trips to Eastern Iowa, Northern Missouri, and Southern Wisconsin Videos are filmed with 3 different cameras, a Panasonic Camcorder, Canon DSLR, and my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Videos are often filmed with other friends/RU-vidrs, so we may have videos that appear the same.. Most often, you will see me with my good friend of over 10+ years of TommyBNSF
Life outside of YT is VERY BUSY, so there may be gaps or delays in my uploading, I am a truck driver, volunteer firefighter, and freelance photographer. I also run Midwest Towboat Revue and Illinois Valley Fire Photography Any questions feel free to ask, I also can try to accommodate video requests as long as my time allows it
I'm aware you mentioned that you made the designation up and it isn't official, but I would've called it the SS-10, since SD-10 actually means Special Dual-Tone 10HP. So, it would logically make sense to call this thing the SS-10 since you'd be changing the Dual-Tone part of the siren to Single-Tone. But as much as I want to believe this thing is official, some of the parts on this siren do not look Federal made, which leads me to believe that this is a mishmash of different siren parts.
I took my driving test in a 4200 day cab, 318, 10 speed, in Roanoke, Illinois the summer of 1975 . . ... Cox Transfer, Eureka, Illinois let me use their truck after i paid them $30 ! Mechanic rode with me ; his name is . . . ? ... Bill Honeg, if i remember correctly . .. . . . Good times, for sure ! Better looking trucks than today ..... .. .
Update 3/13/2024: this siren is gone. Just passed by it on my way to the tonica fedelcode. A brand spanking new 2001 130 stands in its place. Happened sometime between december and march. Extremely recent. I passed it in december and it was still there
Obviously ***is not*** because they have circles around the ports for the horns to slot into. Thing sounds like a model 5. STH-10’s sound smoother most often.
