NMC batteries are not considered safe they catch fires easily, what is different with this Korean NMC that are safer that you mentioned in video? Everyone is changing to LFP as safer alternative.
Only the front glass is double glazed. And frankly, this is model 3 (and Y) pricing. Perceived quality is much lower. Would have been a “buy” at 10k LESS.
Wow, this car is more spacious than I expected. I was hoping KIA would make it a bit sleeker but, I guess they are sticking with the boxy formula for the CUV/SUV lineup and the sedans will get sleeker look. I saw a story that the Stinger name has been re-registered, is there any talk there of an electric Stinger? The Chinese market has some really nice looking shooting brake/GT cars, with wheelbase (Zeekr 001 and Polestar 4 comes to mind) similar to Stinger, packaged with really good interior space. Would be cool if KIA could bring the Stinger name in a similar GT car for the electric market.
I do like the overall design language and how it looks! Would be cool to see in the usa. I wonder if it will be sold for around 30k or just have markups
Worst comment ever. Slow? How? 7.5s 0 to 60. 106 mph max, which you can't drive anywhere. 500km range on the hoghway +- or 350km highway range in -10 degrees. You're just hating on this car for nothing
Strange how a car that looks to be about the same size as the Niro, but has so much less cargo space than the Niro. It's going from like 23 cubic feet in the Niro, to about 16 cubic feet in the EV3. How is that possible? Am I missing anything? 16 cubic feet would be a complete deal breaker for me.
The EV3 looks great - easy choice for most people. The harder choice is which trim to go for. Earth Trim looks good but is not available in the UK unfortunately.
@@yunkiride Is the "light grey" interior trim available with Earth model? Or is it available with certain exterior colours in GT line trim? I don't like the blue and orange colours in the interior of Earth model... The 17" rims are available with the long range battery?

@@yunkiride I own a BYD Dolphin (150 kW, 60 kWh) and I am very impressed after 1 year and 30,000 km. The weak point is a little bit the software (UI). My usage has a little nit charge over this year and I need a slightly larger car with a little higher seating position. The BYD Atto 3 has the perfect size but I don’t like its design. I don’t think, that Kia is so much better in quality. The specs are also very low in the entry level car. BYD offers more for the price. Kia seems to have a better ride. The Chinese cars are quite soft. Hyundai will open a factory in Thailand and the prices of Korean cars may come down. The problem of Kia/Hyundai is also the small dealer network. BYD is far more better here. Anyway, the times for EVs are exciting in Thailand and I don’t have to rush for a replacement.
I'm wondering what the trunk sizes are with the trunk closed. I'm worried about the slope of the trunk, making it difficult to get a big dog in the trunk.
@yunkiride Yes, I noticed in other videos that it's not in the boot area like in the EV9, we have the EV6 and it's on the rear seat, is that where the EV3 internal plug also located?
Thanks for review, Yunki @10:25 - what is the height from the ground to the trunk ? My Soul is about 80cm, Niro is about 76 cm. Good to know how high to lift something to put into trunk (or boot, as we call it in Ireland🇮🇪), or if you have a dog that needs to jump into the trunk. Ok, liked your review, thanks.
