Did that same thing but out of Flamingo about 11 years ago with a guy who had been there before. Caught fish. Couple of days ago went by myself in a canoe off the Tamiami Hwy in a place I picked from Google Earth. Caught my first tarpon, a lot of small snook, a jack, and mangrove snapper. Both times, all on the fly. There is nothing like it. It's like a woman, just nothing like it. I highly recommend go there before you die.
This is probably the best saltwater fly fishing video on the web. It has awesome footage, nicely filmed scenes, and it doesn't just show you fellas catching fish. Y'all explain why you do it; why all of us who wake up super early or stay up into the wee hours to catch fish on a fly rod, or venture into the deepest nooks and crannies of our surroundings to "hunt," as you say, our quarry. I quote Henry David Thoreau: "Many men go fishing their entire lives without realizing that it is not the fish they are after."
Like a skateboard video when you were a kid...gets you pumped. They did the trip exactly how it’s supposed to be done. All I want to know. Where can we obtain the soundtrack lol
I really liked your video!! I fished the same place and was LUCKY enough to actually land a tarpon on my 12 weight, but not even close to 100 lbs. Yet, what a huge thrill! I'm ruined for life! LOL!
