Man those first couple of kiting sessions are the toughest boot camp to get into the sport lol. It only gets easier with a motor on your back. Some constructive criticism for her is don't look up just look at the tips since looking up stops you running forward. I think her other struggles is a bit too much brake in a few occasions. Specially when the wind was pushing her back she gave it like fear breaks which just caused it to push her back more. I am a light too so I know how it feels getting thrown around on a windier day she's got this tho.
@@jammer4578 21 and I love it, the Velocity 25m I was flying was a tank in the sky, this thing actually reacts when I pull brake! :) Much lighter and I dont feel the "bumps" like the Velocity.
Thanks so much! RU-vid can make this sport look so easy sometimes, you can make all the plans you want to train and practice............then the weather doesn't cooperate, can be frustrating but if you stick with it, its very rewarding!
Chris, don't be in a rush to turn around forward. You can kite it reverse until it's really stable and then turn. With a motor on your back you want to make sure that wing is in complete control when you turn around. Don't rush it. And both of you, if the wing is getting out of shape, make sure you turn around and either save it or gently bring it to the ground the moment it's getting way out of shape. Turn around to the low side. You'll save your self a lot of lines and a lot of glider repair tape if you remember to turn around with that motor on your back-so train your body to have that instinct. 😎 GREAT JOB!
Yeah Jo! Great improvement through the video. 👍🏼👍🏼 The more repetitions and the more practice, the more your body just learns how to dance with the wing. Great perseverance!
Chris! Dude you're an animal! When I saw you taxiing that thing around in a circle I had flashbacks of you on the trike in Salton, swinging it on around-I said, "WTF!" Man you almost did it! Chris you'll fly that wing no problem. Jo just iron out your technique and work on reading the wing before it gets out of shape and it will click for you. Remember that lean. The more you steer it by running and changing those riser heights (leaning and running under the wing), the less brake input you'll need...brakes want to stall that wing back down to the ground. Miss you yutes. 😎💕
I was spent at that point, not saying I could have nailed it otherwise. This heat and humidity is killing us but we are on a mission! So proud of Jo's progress, we will be foot launching before you know it. Can't wait to fly with you again. I love that wing we got from you, best purchase so far, thanks again!
@@TZCHRIS27 So glad to hear. It's so cool to see it being put to good use. You look ready to fly Chris-I know you're going to nail it. I envy you all that grass to launch from and land on. It's also awesome to watch Jo's improvement in form and technique.
If you are referring to the light you see at 20:25, that is the light that comes on when its running. I did try to go back to Amazon and find it but it looks like that "Onylraep" doesnt exist anymore? Well, anyway, it works great, been running on and off the last month, no issues.
Date not wrong, it appears it is Skydivers and the same thing has been seen 3 nights in a row, we saw it again last night (3/22/2024) Its funny how you are telling me my video I shot and POSTED on the 21st was actually the 22nd, lol
I saw it and took a picture on my phone I’m a truck driver I was on the 10 heading to Phoenix where I live. I thought it was a meteor but then the way it multiplied through me off once it multiplied it stopped moving almost on command and started getting into a formation I’m not saying it’s UFO’s but once they broke up into 8 lights I didn’t know what else to say but that. I just got home and went straight to RU-vid to see if anyone actually got decent footage this is about the best I’ve seen not many other post or talk about it that I’ve seen.
@@JohnnyFaber I was heading west bound heading towards Phoenix I was just outside of Casa Grand if I spelled it right bt I was hoping it would stick around until I got closer if I had to guess I was probably about 5-10 miles away to it being pretty close bt I was close enough to know some crazy sh!t was definitely going on. I thought it was just a meteor or something bt once it stopped mid air and multiplied on the spot i immediately had different thoughts for sure
@@TZCHRIS27 I was in the phone with my people from the east coast while it was happening I was giving him a play by play of what I was seeing and also got a photo of it the best u could while driving it was a sight to see happened so fast like I said before I live downtown Phoenix so I was about an hour away from home went home to see if the news may have picked it up bt this video is all I could find just glad someone else was able to get the video so I can at least look back on it so I appreciate you guys for being on it 🫡🤝🏽
It’s called “night Attack Training” Flares dropped from a USAF C-130 aircraft, lighting up an area for fighter jets to practice strafing runs at night. Did it hundreds of times while flying C-130s in the Air Force.
It didnt look like a magnesium burn or flares, it all looked like it started from one large fire ball, I thought the flares were independent of one another?
This is exactly what BlackHawk equipment will do for all the new pilots looking to save a few bucks.... Having been that guy I would strongly advise you guys to spend a few more bucks on literally ANY other equipment. Your life is worth it
Great to meet you out there (I think it was there 11/24/23 and 12/10/23) Remember meeting you one of those days. Look forward to seeing some more of your flights! :)
I'm glad the water was shallow. Hong copied the steering levers on My lowboy after seeing me fly at Salton. I encouraged him to take pictures of my setup. Looks like he did a good job. Love his attitude. Say hi to him for me. I'm sure we will meet again at Sallton.
Hong is awesome, best attitude, as I struggled at first with this sport he was a great inspiration for me to stay with it. I hope to see him at the Salton fly in this year!
