@@yamz342 it did well for quite some time. However a few rides ago it came loose. I haven’t had time to look at it and when I do I forget about it 🤦🏻♂️lol. So, not sure if it was a part failure or my installation. I’ll try to get to it next weekend, but whenever I do, I’ll let you know. 👍
@@yamz342 2 hours at most…just about 52 yrs old you get sore pretty quick lol I run it at the drag strip but haven’t been on a track yet. You can check out my TikTok Ducati_Grandpa I haven’t uploaded in a while but currently making a 360 mount for the back so hopefully in a couple weeks I’ll get some footage. 👍 Thanks for watching!!
I really wish someone would name the goddamn plugs because the two row port is used to plug into the diagnostic plug but I can't google to buy just the adaptor so I can use my existing charger.
@@Ducati_Grandpa It's all good, after getting annoyed as hell I caved and just bought a ducati charger. :) I just hate giving Ducati more money when they purposely make things harder to make themselves the easiest yet most expensive option.
When the Akrapovic exhaust is purchased and installed by the dealer, it includes the tune from Ducati/Akrapovic. That’s the reason for the high price…it’s not just for the exhaust.👍 Thanks for watching!
@@Ducati_Grandpa The Akrapovic tune which maintains warranty should say Racing EVO .Racing Pro is used by open flash tablet tune which is my favorite.I guess Termignoni UPmap also says Racing Pro .Great bike
Just bought the same ones Steve. Thanks for the video, we are now twins! Do you recall if you took the rubber foot plate off which was in place with the original mirrors? I had to remove it to get the DB mirrors to sit properly due to the smaller screws.
I left them on…it was kind of a pain in the butt. I think it was the reason for stripping the head out on one of the screws. They seem to be good so far. 🤞
There is no freakin way that thing draws a lot of power. I’d guess 50w tops. So like 20g wire is fine or any basic ext cord. It’s not a microwave or a space heater
Yes, I agree, I’m sure it doesn’t draw much attention all…they just say to not use an extension cord with all chargers to cover their butt. 👍 Thanks for watching!!
I’ve been told it’s not an exhaust valve, it actually shuts down 2 of the four cylinders to reduce heat and looks at throttle and/or gear to activate those two cylinders. Thanks for watching!
@@Ducati_Grandpa Great videos ! I know that the v4 engine will running with only two cylinders when in nature gear, but the cause of the sounds still puzzles me, because guys in Ducati shop told me that the cause of this sound is the opening of the exhaust valve ,It really puzzles me 😵💫
Yes, mainly just roll starts for fun I’ve only don’t a dig start a couple times…during street car racing they allow any street legal vehicle. You should give it a try, good fun! Thanks for watching!
The mirrors look amazing but the visibility is terrible. I am thinking about selling these and buying the Rizoma Veloce L instead. How was your experience?
I read a few reviews that didn’t have a good experience with the visibly well, but most didn’t re-install the rubber gasket. Did you re-install yours? Luckily, I’ve had a great experience with them. I just have to slide my elbow out slightly to get a better field of view but they’re crystal clear for me. Thanks for watching!
They look amazing but the cost is also amazing! I justified buying a Panigale V4 SP2 but not sure I can justify spending that much on mirrors, even if they do look that good and work that well. Good on you though.
Hi Mr steve davis your videos are very good quality, can I do your video edits for you. if you don't need it can you please send me some of your videos for me to practice thanks Mr steve davis .
Have you noticed how your brake disc is grinding?🧐 I have such thick brake caliper spacers on my 08 YZF-R1 race bike and instead of a 310mm disc I have a 320mm disc.👍
I didn't mean literally sanding/grinding like with a file or sander.😅 I meant brake disc wear. ✅ I was wondering if the pad, in place touching the disc, it moved more to the outside of the disc. Thanks for the reply.
Thanks for sharing this. I have the same setup and my wife is starting to ask questions lol. Were you able to find a solution for the passenger foot pegs?
No…once she saw how I ride, she didn’t want to get on lol However, what I was thinking was to have a couple “L” brackets made that would flip the two that mount to the foot pegs, putting the vertical side on the inside instead of outside of foot peg area…. Thanks for watching!!
@@Ducati_Grandpa thanks for the tip. Does that mean the footpegs and the exhaust will mount using the same bolts on each side? Do you think the heat for the passenger will be unbearable?
@@maninoroozi3456 that was also my biggest concern was the heat from that exhaust because as you know the heat went from inner thighs to butt lol Although I do think it would work. I just told my wife I have to buy a multistrada that we can ride together lol 😉
No. They put too much stress on them. later I found out I was placing them at the wrong place and I’ve just never taken them off to put them back on. Thanks for watching!
why? omg why is every single V4 owner reving their bike in 2 cylinder mode??? omg why! it's such a waste. rev it in first gear so all 4 cylinders are fired up instead of just the 2. it makes a huge difference. no one should be reving the Panigale V4 in Neutral., always in 1st gear and hold the clutch.
@@jeppe1976 yes, so sorry, I responded to him incorrectly, I did do the top mount. Their website suggests the bottom I believe but I went with the top. Thanks for watching and catching that!!
Actually, the dealership informed me it’s merely a design for racing exhaust to keep gravel out in case of slide offs on the race track…I’m not a gambling man. However, I would bet the difference in sound isn’t noticeable because it’s such a thin piece of honey comb metal🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching!
Nice video from an enthusiast..but "one of the ugliest bikes in the world, even if done well"..Look the headlights look so gouged and holey it disgusts me..
I’ve only heard people that love them like myself or hate them like you….nothing in between. Definitely a “personal taste” issue. 👍 Thanks for watching!!
Great exhaust and video , do you mind if you can measure the gap between the 2 cans? Our number plate here in NZ are bigger and just need to know it our plates fits .. thanks
Much appreciated mate .. massive help as I need to purchase it without seeing first , you make great and very informative videos , keep it coming… greetings from New Zealand
I really love and trust their product as well…I use all their equipment on my Onewheel too. I’m sure I’ll get one of their new helmets coming out! I’m really impressed with the quality and fit of the Suomy, being my first too. Thanks for watching!!
Whoa, to run across another Hoosier Ducati rider on RU-vid is quite awesome. I've been to most Ducs and Donuts at Rahal and did their Rally Rumble a month or so ago. Unsure if we've ever chatted, I have a white Multistrada V4S, live in the Avon area. I did see a matching Panigale to yours Saturday morning in Avon area I waived as I was turning right onto US-36. I planned to buy the Streetfighter V4S but I needed one pillion viable and got the Multi instead. Still want the Panigale or Streetfighter V4 though l! I'm sure I'll see ya around sometime and you got a sub!
I have been to many of their Ducs & Donuts as well. I bet we’ve talked or at least seen each other. I plan on being at the one this month…hopefully I’ll see you there! 👍 Thanks for watching and subscribing!!
