Cluster bombs are only good for stationary targets... i mean if you can pull a pearl harbour it would work but otherwise PD, moving targets, being spread out for manuvers would all counter this attack
yes, but that's never goign to change - not on this engine. Standard game and survival was never meant to have these huge battles in large fleets of several large ships. It's cool, but this isn't minecraft, where it's easy to build a massive build and see most or all of it without much lag (after initial loading of the chunk at least, since the blocks are stationary. It's a completely different story when each block of a ship has physics calculations and functionality that the server must run.
@@ScarryHarry93 yes, thats true, but the game shouldnt crash for me when I fight a mere dozen drones in my destroyer 🤣. And its not like I have a potato pc either. I hope the new engine performs allot better.
@@kareem2331 I hear a lot of people say they don't have potatoes, but is it really true? lol...all kidding aside, you *shoudln't* be crashing on just a bunch of small drones - if anything it should just lag a bit maybe. Are you just on singleplayer? I can't say much since I just upgraded to a beast of a new PC, but my old one still played SE pretty well with a few large ships battling it out
@@ScarryHarry93 ye I have a Ryzen 7, 16gb of ram and a 3050. Admittedly not a beast of a pc, but should be enough not to crash. And yes just playing singleplayer. The drones have rocket launchers, and the game basically dies as soon as they start firing lol.
Fleet Admiral: "right of now we are in maintance mode, all PDs are offline" Radar Systems Officer: "Sir we may have a teeny-tiny problem, correction multiple once ..." next time please a vid with active PDs, but overwhelming many ordinace eventually breaking through :) same maybe even with a WC mod and their laser PDs.
Aside from the first two small capital ships that jumped the gun and engaged the battleship, when the fleet moved in the Conqueror basically became weaponless after a few vollies rendering the ship worthless. 2/3 of the video is a stagnant ship being used as target practice from what I see. I'll give one caveat. The use of half slopes in front of the windows is a nice touch. Other than that, if your intent was to showcase the battelship's strength, I'm thinking it missed the mark. Resources lost were essentially 2 destroyer type vessels and minor damage to frigates vs the loss of a battleship class ship.
Whats with people with their broadside space ship ? You can make your ship cover alot of surface area at the front and put all yours guns there since you are not planning to go side by side another enemy ship like in a marine ship battle.
Not too bad, some of the ships look okay. I'm surprised to not see an NX Class, I couldn't really recognize what the Federation Class ships we're meant to be. The Romulan vessels looked okay, definitely room for improvement. You should totally check out The Romulan War, a RU-vid Channel that properly brings to life this dark chapter of the federations history. I'll eventually get around to professionally recreating those ships myself at some point
