I am pleased to have found this youtube of Eric Burdon. Seems he's often been sooooo patient with interviewers wanting him to remain in his 20's....silly really....we all age, mature, go through a zillion life experiences as he mentions here. His growing and always getting lost in his music experience is what I love to hear as I too love the experience of lost in my art or any experience that has lifted and come from what I call a spiritual space. That's creativity at ita best and is why I'm sure I've enjoyed his talent over the years. Thanks Mr. Burdon.
The problem with any type of show business is although they are all art forms & entertaining, the business aspect of it has ruined many a performer as they couldn’t deal with the ups & downs, deceptions & just plain getting ripped off. They whether it be Managers or whoever, are basically looking out for their own interests over the artist’s interest. There’s no money for them if they can’t promote you but again, they’re looking to actually make more money than the artists. People, particularly Women in Hollyweird, have been used & abused because of this for decades.
He seems to be a very nice man. It is my hope that he will always get the supreme respect that he deserves! He is one of the greats for sure, and my absolute favorite artist!

I never, as a teenager (i am now 71) knew about the animals, i take that back, i did know of them, but that is about all, my sister was the one into them and Elvis. I enjoyed the more mellow music. however only recently, i discovered the animals and Eric Burdon,especially, (Eric just to let you know) and i have been mesmerized of the video"house of the rising sun". I loved that one early on, like with the Ed Sullivan show. This is crazy because that is not how i am, but i have to watch that video almost everyday !! Watching Eric look into the camera with the way he looks, is beyond any video i have ever enjoyed. The icing on the cake is when, at the end they bow !! Just love it !! Ok, now,__ i've got to hang up, and go watch it, as we said in my day, in the South, Eric is "Cool as grits" !!
