Thanks for these, Tommy. They served as a great inspiration before my partner and I embarked on a similar trip. 14+ months later, they'll serve as great reminders of all the amazing things we did. Was glad to be along for the ride. All the best.
As i'm sure you learned, downtown Santiago is still a little rough-around-the-edges from the protests & rioting after Oct '19. They've cleaned up more graffitti since you were there in '22 but when I went there in Sep '22 i found downtown really depressing and sad (add to this the economic disruption with Covid and a flood of recent immigration--so lots of informal vendors downtown). Downtown Santiago was nice until 2019 and it is slowly recovering.
i crossed that border into Bolivia last year with my fiance and i had to bribe the bolivian border guards 50$ just to get my pregnant fiance's vitamins through...mucho corruption!! but great video bro!
Saw your drama on the border crossing? So exactly what form you fill to fill prior. I heard there is this SAG form and in your video you mentioned about the QR code. Just need to know what documents or things we need to prepare for this crossing to go smoothly.
Nice effort with the Portuñol! It's not recommended to touch the coatis; they are very dangerous, like raccoons in the US. Good videos, keep them coming!
I just published a video from the same crossing border. It seems nothing has changed a year since. However, when did you cross? Looks super busy, I was the only one this past February.
Crossing borders in that part of the world is always an adventure. If you filmed this in 2023 and they required masks in Chile... Quite clownish from them.
I feel like we visited this city at the wrong time of year 😢 … it had a lot of charm and the experience of the Andes 1972 Museum will stay with us forever ❤
